There does not have to be restaurants. There do not have to be waiters. When you go to an eating establishment, you are NOT entitled to anything. Eating establishments are there to provide you a service, and you should be damn fucking greatful. No whining that the server didn't fill up your drinking cup for the 12 fucking time. Don't like the service? Just get your food to go, or avoid the restaurants with "poor service" entirely. Don't be a snarky bastard and write shit like this.

If you sit at a restaurant and eat a a full meal, but neglect to leave a tip, you are contributing to shittier service. Tips are servers pay. You want servers? You tip them. This is how the restaurant industry works in America. If you are having poor service at a restaurant, ask for everything to go, pay and leave. This is the only acceptable time when tipping is unnecessary. If you are sitting there, lamenting your servers inability to remember your want of butter, just get everything to go, pay and leave. You have butter at home.

This isn't some big business vs. little business argument either, so don't even start. This is about businesses being held accountable for their problems.

Also, I'm not unemployable because I have a sense of awareness. I care about doing a good job because so few people do. I have a strong sense of empathy, so I know what people want when they come to me.

Sorry waiterfags, but I tip when I'm impressed with my service. Time and time again this argument has happened, it's a pretty simple formula
shit service= no tips
mediocre service= mediocre tips
good service=good tips
excellent service= excellent tips
That's purely what I base how much I'm giving on, I'm out to have a good time, so if my waiter/waitress isn't friendly or attentive, then why should I give them something they haven't earned?

Well, you can always ask for service if you do not receive such. But I will not ever tip anything if the service is average. As for excellence I'll gladly tip twice the usual sum. Also, if you expect to be tipped by percents you do not deserved to get tipped at all. Tip is a compensation for a job well-done, not an automatic salary that customers give you.
