What does /ck/ think of Gordon Ramsay?
    >> Anonymous 02/08/09(Sun)18:18 No.815598
Awesome motivator, mentor and manager. Not sure how good his food is, never had it.
    >> Anonymous 02/08/09(Sun)18:19 No.815600
Been to many of his restaurants.

His flagship restaurant in Royal Hospital Road is, quite frankly, amazing. His food isn't overrated at all.

My cousin, who's a chef, was asked to work for him. He refused because he couldn't take the abuse.

Ramsay's obviously a genius and cares a lot about what he does. I suppose you can get like that when your standards are that high, but he's told to ham it up for the US series anyway.

Only spoiled, precious snowflakes don't like him. Because being yelled at is probably the greatest punishment they'll ever have to suffer in life.

irl he's kind, curtious and professional.

He treats his staff as if he was a boot camp officer.
For high stress stuff that makes sense(to weed out the idiots) but in all his initial training, he STILL acts like a tool.

I have never eaten anything he, or his restaurants has made, but his personaly pisses me off. I know its conflict that makes his shows interesting. As a character he is interesting. As a cook? Dunno. As a person? Tool.

I feel like he's a sellout especially on Hell's Kitchen. I like him better on Kitchen Nightmares.
    >> Anonymous 02/08/09(Sun)23:57 No.816063
Hell's Kitchen is genius, most entertaining reality tv show ever. Did anyone else see him humiliate a fat guy by making him take a long ferry ride along for no reason at all? That's what Ramsay is the man.
    >> Anonymous 02/09/09(Mon)00:04 No.816072
He is pretty a culinary genius, outstanding chef and highly successful restaurant owner.

Speaking of Hell's Kitchen, did anyone watch the Season 5 premiere on Hulu? There's a couple of strong guys and girls, so we might have a male winner again, especially after that BS with Petrozza.
    >> Anonymous 02/09/09(Mon)01:23 No.816191
Only seen a like half of the second episode, but I'd say the men have the better chance of winning this season as well. What, like half of them are sous and executive chefs? Experience does count, all the past winners have been sous/executive chefs.
