easy to calculate on your own when cooking at home. As far as other
restaurants it's as simple as knowing what they use and how the prepare
dishes. It's not rocket science. The level of "healthiness" is easily
gauged when you examine what is being cooked, where its from, what
grade it is, how it's cooked ( fried, shallow fried, deep, what type of
oil?) are the ingredients organic, what are the portion sizes. What
type of bread is the burger on, processed white flour? whole wheat? On
and on. I can get a burger the size of a whopper that tastes much
better for roughly the same price, in the same amount of time with a
real cheese, local free range beef, organic tomatoes etc... that is
going to have less fat, sodium, etc... |
