    Hey, co/ck/s.
I have recently had a LOT of restrictions put on my food intake, due to health reasons.
    SO
I am tired of eating shitty salads/plain meat and need more ideas.
Here are the foods I CANNOT eat:
    NO Fruits and fruit juices
    NO Breaded Meats
    NO Egg substitutes
    NO Margarine and butter substitute
    NO Potatoes and legumes
NO Coffee or tea (regular or decaf)
    NO Diet or regular sodas
NO Grains are allowed...this includes pasta, rice, corn, wheat, millet, quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat, oats, and barley
Absolutely NO Yeasts allowed...this includes bread, mushrooms, pastries and alcohol, hydrolyzed yeasts
NO Partially hydrogenated oils including corn and peanuts.
    NO Peanuts or peanut products
NO VINEGARS These include ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, pickles, pickled peppers, hot sauce, salad dressings, green olives, horseradish, dips, mayonnaise.
It is best to avoid tuna, swordfish, shark, and shellfish
    NO processed salt

Pretty much, the only oil I can cook with is olive.
I can't really season the food.

    Have anything for me?
    >> Anonymous 12/15/08(Mon)04:52 No.723898
so what sort of thing caused such restrictions.

also, i'd either break the diet or kill myself.

Steak with..... OK just kill yourself.

    >> Anonymous 12/15/08(Mon)05:22 No.723946
You still can eat vegetables and products made of vegetables. Tofu for example (or anything from soy)

    Also: Zucchini, Pumpkin etc.

    USE IT

And you can still eat red and white meat? Is sea salt fine? Steak+sea salt=awesome on its own. Sucks about the no potatoes or grains... I don't think I could do without starch.

In any case, you could try some sort of stir-fry-like-thing with some vegetables and meat.

Is soy sauce fine? Or is gluten out too?

Yeah, you should probably stop letting homeopathic frauds or those homeopathic frauds your girlfriend seems to trust plan out your diet.

There's really no way in hell any real doctor would prescribe such a retarded diet.. god I hope it keeps you malnourished and you die so .0005% of this bullshit stays out of the mainstream.
    >> Anonymous 12/15/08(Mon)06:04 No.724002
Really, what is causing this dieting need?
Most of my recipes call for potatoes.
I'll have a look around for suitable stuff, but like another poster said, maybe stir fry would work, shame about the soy though.
Mushrooms? Milk? You CAN eat tuna, swordfish and those others but it's not advised. So once a week type thing?

I have chronic/recurrent yeast infections caused by high blood sugar levels. It's been going on for the last 5 years and this is my last and final effort. I'd suggest adding lots of eggplant and zucchini to your diet. If you're allowed to eat tomatoes (fuck the whole fruit/veggie classification) then I'd make me some nice ratatouille. I'd also eat a lot more fish. Screw steak, fish is where it's at.

If you still have problems after this round I'd really recommend consulting Dr. Cole (I believe he does some consolations over the phone). He's more or less Holistic, but he still uses traditional medication when needed, and he's the best fucking doctor out there.

What could cause such ridiculous dietary restrictions? It would be hard to eat a balanced and healthy, much less flavorful, diet with these restrictions. You can't eat *any* grains? Why should this be? Many grains aren't even phylogenetically related, so I don't understand what could be common to them that's excluded from your diet. You do realize that grains are the fundamental staple of almost all existing human cultures? The only exceptions would be plantains, which are excluded as fruit, and potatoes, which are also explicitly excluded. Manioc, anyone?

So, basically no starches and sugars; nothing remotely high in carbs. Just meat and fresh veggies. Nothing processed. That's not too difficult.

You can bake everything you need to cook in order to avoid cooking oils and other such stuff. Not seasoning them with salt is no big problem (brand name Real Salt does not add dextrose[sugar] to their salt, it's unprocessed). Use black pepper from a pepper grinder instead. Leafy greens seem like a good, non-starch/sugar type of vegetable for you.

Here's what I suggest. Buy beef deli meats and chicken you can easily roast in the oven either wrapped in foil or in a covered dish. For vegetables buy fresh of the following kale, spinach, celery, rhubarb, radishes, green bell peppers, any green chili pepper, onions, garlic, and/or cattail hearts (in spring). You can make delicious soups and stews with the meat and several of those veggies. With the leafy greens that are bitter, boiling them in 2 changes of water will remove most of the bitterness.

Seasonings you can use, black pepper, Real Salt brand salt google "Real Salt" and read up, crushed red pepper, cayenne pepper powder, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning (read label to make sure no salt or sugars were added; there should not be any in the first place). pretty much anything that's green and flaky. Stay away from 99.999% of pre-mixed seasonings because they usually contain processed salt which in turn contain dextrose or other sugar.
    >> Anonymous 12/15/08(Mon)08:42 No.724106
Well usually lack of sugar diets are used for thrush which is delicious by the way for people that use an asthma inhaler. See my problem with the whole non sugar diet on a vagina yeast infection is well, the yeast is going to find away around the lack of sugar usually ti stay alive. Now I know this might sound like a dumbass answer but natural sunlight does kill yeast. So if you have a privacy fence a good tanning can help. Microwaving your panties and or washing them in bleach will help in stopping the respreading of the yeast. Also sleeping with pajama pants well help as well due to the spreading of the yeast to the bedspread. Since this is a food board yogurt will help but it has to have live cultures in it though. Microbiotics well help.Don't take iron supplements either it helps it grow. Vinegar has been shown to help and make it worse depending on the person. Hydrogen Peroxide is good too, but check with your doctor before you go douching away because the vagina needs a good ph balance. And so I wont get flammed for giving all this knowledge if you cant cure it hey there is enough yeast down there to make bread or beer, lol.

It's winter, so soups are the order of the season. Fortunately for you, greens are in season also.

http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2007/01/green-on-green-soup.html - Green on Green soup - eplace sweet potatoes with some kind of squash

http://www.harvesteating.com/public/930.cfm - quick green bean stirfry - omit soy sauce or make a substitute (google it)

http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2006/01/mexican-pumpkin-soup-and-garlicky.html - pumpkin soup and spicy greens, omit beans and substitute potatoes with squash again

Really, just look around vegetarian/vegan places and you will find tons. The problem with most people going vegetarian (not that you are) is that they think that vegetarian means nothing but salad. It's a fucking lie. I don't have any meat recipes as I am a vegetarian, but I don't see why you can't have lean meat as a side or ingredient in any of them. Actually, marinade a small chicken breast in rosemary, lemon juice, olive oil, and ground pepper, then cook and serve over greens again.

Don't say you can't season your food. Seasonings are more than incredibly salty or fatty sauces. Ginger, rosemary, cayenne, there are a million herbs and spices out there, find ones that taste good to you and use them.

Can you eat squash and zucchini?

My mom used to make spaghetti squash all the time when she tried the Atkins diet, and if you have a mandolin zucchini spaghetti "noodles" are also possible.

Also, my friend swears by olive oil as his salad dressing and uses nothing else.

    Hey OP:
Tell the doctor to get you set up on TPN for a couple of weeks with a Flagyl chaser.
It's IV nutrition; you won't have to eat at all. You'll still be starving for a few days, but your body will adjust when it realizes it's still getting nutrition.

I had recurrent intra-abdominal abcesses myself, and the Flagyl helps beat the fuckers down. Trying to "starve" yeast is a losing proposition.

The Yeast will make off with your children,
he'll come after them in the night.
We're not safe 'till his head is mounted on my wall.
I say we kill the Yeast!

We're not safe until he's dead.
He'll come stalking us at night.
Woman: Set to sacrifice our children to his montrous appetite.
He'll wreak havok on our village if we let him wander free!

So it's time to take some action boys!
    It's time---to---fol---low---me!

Through the mist, through the woods,
through the darkness and the shadows.
It's a nightmare but it one exciting ride.
Say a prayer, then we're there,
at the drawbridge of a castle,
and there's something truly terrible inside.

It's a Yeast, he's got fangs razor sharp ones.
Massive paws, killer claws for the feed.
Hear him roar, see him foam,
    but we're not coming home,
'till he's dead, good and dead. Kill the Yeast.

NO! I won't let you do this!

If you're not with us, you're against.
    Bring the old man!

: Get your hands off me!

We can't have them running off to warn the creature.

    Let us out!

We'll rid the village of this Yeast, who's with me?!

    Chorus:
Get your torch, mount you horse,

Through your courage to the stinking place.

We're counting on your stud to lead the way.
Through a mist to the wood, where we see a haunted castle,
something's lurking that you don't see every day.
It's a Yeast, just as tall as a mountain,
We won't rest 'till he's good and deceased.
Steady fourth, tally ho! Grab your sword, grab your bow!
Let's get on and here we go!

We'll lay seige to the castle, and bring back his head!

We have to warn the Yeast. This is all my fault.
OH papa what are we going to do?!

Now, now. We'll think of something.

do be careful, i assume the reason youre not supposed to have fruit is because of sugar... watch out for sweet veggies. you might want to do some research on things before you go and invest money on them, also it would be a shame to accidentally ruin this awful diet and have to start back at square one because you accidentally ate something that happened to have sugar in it.
i dont know for sure but i'm just sayin, if i were you i'd look up things like carrots, bell peppers, squash etc. you might just want to stay with leafy greens to be on the safe side.

If you've ever had any sexual contact with a vagina (WHICH I DOUBT OH HO HO) 7 times out of 10 they have a mild yeast or bacterial infection. These things can lie dormant waiting for the right conditions to bloom.

Think about that next time you see a vagina anywhere.

    Garlic
    Tofu (a legume) + ground beef (?)
    Avocado (?)
    Bacon (salty?)
    >> Anonymous 12/16/08(Tue)02:51 No.725380
It sounds like you could make hamburger patties filled with minced onion and garlic, with tomato slices on top, wrapped in spinach leaves.

Not quite sure how restrictive some things are, if lemon/orange rind are permissible, you'd have a bit of flavoring opportunity, but no fruits may be that restrictive.

As for yogurt, I have no idea how the hell you're permitted to have this. Even plain unsweetened yogurt uses live cultures. I mean, if you honestly can use it, you may as well crack open an Indian cuisine cookbook and get cracking, because that leaves you open for quite a bit of variety there.

In fact, I'd suggest looking at an Indian cookbook regardless. Many things may be off limits due to one restriction or another, but there's some interesting vegetable-heavy dishes with spice ideas that aren't based on modern American vinegar sauces.

I actually did some hamburger patties tonight, onion, egg, sea salt, pepper corns. They are baking as I type this. I also I have a side salad to go with it.
Yogurt is allowed because it promotes vaginal health. The bacterial cultures that live in it are the ones that keep the vagina balanced. Hence why putting yogurt in/on the vagina is a common home remedy for yeast infections and women are encouraged to incorporate yogurts into their regular diet.

you could take some trout or salmon (or really any other fish you ARE allowed to eat) and put it in a foil packet with lots of veggies (baby corn, garlic, onion, leafy greens...go wild) and a bit of butter and either broil it or put the whole packet on the grill for a few mins, thats always tasty.

Suck it up. You can do better than that. Carbs and sugar make you crave more carbs and sugar. Not yeast. It's a vicious cycle most don't know about. You like most people, have a sugar addiction. After two weeks of no sugar you'll feel great. But, you'll crave it like a fucking crack addict. The longest I went without sugar was 6 months. The cravings finally stopped about about 3 weeks. It was murder.
    >> Anonymous 12/16/08(Tue)14:56 No.725964
    >>725859

this guys right. I went three months without sugar once and it kinda sucked at first, but after a couple of weeks it was no big deal. Just be careful though, because once I was able to eat some sugars again I wanted to have some of the things that I couldn't so I bought a bunch of snack foods, and then felt like shit after eating just a little bit of it. Once your body gets rid of all the sugar, you will feel horrible if you eat too much of it again.

makin soup is like the easiest thing ever. dont start with boullion or pre packaged stock though! because it is loaded with salt and other stuff.
your best bet, for maximum ease, would be to just throw a whole chicken into a pot of water. throw in some sea salt and whatever herbs you like. bring to a rolling boil, reduce head and cover. continue to simmer for a couple hours.
when your chicken is done cooking, just take it out and de bone it. toss desired amount of meat back into your pot of chickeny water and herbs. dump veggies in en masse. enjoy. =)
