/ck/, i am in need of assistance!
As a workingstudent, food is scarce, when working at a government building, finding good, affordable food for my 30 minute lunch break sucks...Assistance? (I work in downtown Sacramento, 11&O Street) Price is more of a concern, though obviously quality is also a must... points if they offer vegetarian chow (Best friend and lunch buddy is a vegfag).
my options as of now are
    Yummy Choice (Chinese)
Dragon house (Chinese i get when i'm desperately poor)
OB 2000 (Awesome cheeseburgers, but they're 8 bucks for a burger and fries)
Hitomi (Good japanese place, but rather expensive)
La Petit Croissant (Sandwich shop, decent)
La Bou (Refuse to eat there)
Posie's Mini Mart (Usual Lunch place)
Mexican place who's name ican't remember at the moment (Never eaten there, sit down place, usually packed with take out orders)

There's probably a Subway within a few blocks owned by that Indian guy who owns all those downtown Subways that all have that fake Gandhi quote by the cash register. Go to Subway!

You could always pack your own lunch; it's probably more economical and you can more easily control what goes into your food.

How about brown-bagging it? You'll save money and you'll have a greater guarantee of quality control.

This. You can make some awesome rice and bean dishes that eat just as well cold as they do hot for dirt cheap.

    OP here,

I would brown bag lunch, but i lack access to a fridge/microwave that isn't harboring sentient leftovers.

You can still bring lunch. When I was in school, students didn't have access to a fridge. I still took sandwiches and burritos and stuff to eat.

If you're really worried about stuff spoiling in the few hours it'll be sitting there, get a mini cooler.
