On Sunday we rolled out new HTML for 4chan's imageboards. The new code validates HTML5/CSS3, the design should appear exactly the same, pages should load slightly faster (especially long threads), and extension/user script/archive developers should have a much easier job parsing our pages. This is the first time in approximately ten years that it has been updated.

If you are using an extension or app that has not been updated for the changes, some features may not work—you will need to wait for the developer to update their extension/app to be compatible with the new HTML. If you haven't downloaded it already, try the Official 4chan Chrome Extension.

The most significant changes with the new HTML are a new mobile-optimized layout for phones, and inline extension features. Check them out by clicking [Settings] in the upper-right (make sure you don't select features that conflict with those from an extension though), or visit 4chan from your phone!

We are still working through a few bugs with the new code. Please report any bugs you find to newhtml@4chan.org.

Hi /ck/, first time poster on here, I'm usually a /k/o/mmando, but I've got a couple of questions. I'm trying to eat healthier , and recently I've started a pretty demanding workout schedule (skinnyfag, so trying to bulk up.) Now before you try to shoo me off to /fit/, I'm here to ask some advice for some new, creative and protein- rich dishes that I can make on the cheap and quick (typical college student). I'm getting sick of hamburger and eggs, and steaks get too expensive to cook day after day. Also, I have no BBQ, so that is out of the question. Any advice is appreciated, as I am just hitting a mental roadblock for new ideas when it comes to quick to cook and inexpensive protein full meals. (that and everybody I know never has any appealing ideas.) Thanks!

Nice link- lots of good looking stuff, thank you!

No, very skinny, trying to build muscle- that being said I still want to eat stuff not full of cholesterol if possible.
>>
rice+beans as mentionned below.

Quinoa also has a nice protein kick.

Nuts/seed legumes

Other then that it's hard to give specific instructions... your question is vague.
>>
If you still want to include meat in your diet, perhaps a cheaper but tougher cut of meat would be good?

So you can cook your stew or whatever in a pot or slow cooker, grab your SKS go innawoods and then come back to delicious stew a few hours later?

i'm from /fit/
dietary cholesterol has little to no effect on blood cholesterol levels. look it up i can't be bothered. cholesterol is fine. if you're skinny eat whatever you want, but a lot of it (enough to put on like a pound a week).
don't eat too much sugar, shit fucks you up.

Specifically I'm a typical college student looking for cheap, quick to prepare and creative protein rich meals for breakfast lunch and dinner to compliment my workout regimen, ones that are more interesting then hamburgers or baked chicken, and low in cholesterol/ sodium/ bad fats if possible. I'm pretty open to trying most any food as well.

hum... assuming you have a basic kitchen available..

Ingredients
1 cup quinoa
2 cups of water
More water for rinsing
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 bunch of green onions, sliced
1 small pack of pine nuts
Olive Oil
Salt and pepper
3-4 carrots

Instructions
1. Put the quinoa at the bottom on a pot and cover it with water. Let it soak for 15-20 minutes then gently run your hand trough it to separate the grains. Toss the rinsing water.
2. Rinse the quinoa again a few times until the rinsing water runs mostly clear.
3. Add 2 cups water to the quinoa and cover the pan. Cook on medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes (like you would cook rice). When cooked it becomes translucid and the germ separates to create little white spirals or tails to the grains.
4. Pour splash of olive oil in a wok and warm to medium-warm heat. Toss in the pine nuts for a minutes or two.
5. Add the onions, the carrots and the peppers.
6. Sauté until the veggies are cooked, then add the quinoa.
7. Splash in some more olive oil, seasoning to taste and mix well.

I like the way you think. That or some roadkill, cattail and watercress stew made innawoods lol.

Good to hear from a /fit/fag, I won't worry so much about cholesterol, but I do have to cut back on the sugar. Bad for the metabolism I'm sure.

That sounds like a perfectly refreshing summertime lunch. Thank you!

Also, thanks to everyone else in this thread for contributing. In return, here's a quick steak marinade/ meat rub I came up with and have grown to love. Ingredients;
>red wine vinegar
>horseradish sauce
>hoffenbrau (or whatever it's called) stone ground mustard
>soy sauce (just a bit for saltiness)
>Franks Red Hot sauce if you're feeling lazy, chopped- up cayenne pepper if you're not

Only has to sit for a few hours and all of those acids do a great job of making tender steaks. Hope somebody likes the sound of it!

eat more creamy cakes, like the "blackwood forest cherry gateau". you gonna grow on that stuff like a bear.
