Came across a site that had put up some of the first color pictures from the early 40's. Let's take a look at what people ate during the Great Depression.

How much does a single orange cost these days at something like Walmart?

The greatest purpose of a time machine would be to go back in time just to buy a cheap orange and hope they don't see that my penny is younger than the date I visited.

That picture's remarkably timeless; I can't really spot anything about it that suggests it's so old, except perhaps the quality of the stonework and paint.

I found a picture of that bridge as it is today (taken from the other side of the riverbank), complete with a whole new deck. I guess they knew it might need to be expanded in the future, or the piers needed to be long to reduce turbulence in the water around them.

The Great Depression was over by 1940 in the United States, genius. It started in 1929.

Sure he's not talking about the picture labeled "original homegrowmen"? because I'm pretty sure that's not the first instance of agriculture in human history.

His process used a camera that took a series of three monochrome pictures in sequence, each through a different-colored filter. By projecting all three monochrome pictures using correctly colored light, it was possible to reconstruct the original color scene
