08/10/11(Wed)13:54 No.3032865I
shop at Lidl as part of my regular shop, I'm not sure how many products
are that different from at Aldi though, as I've only popped in there
occasionally - am I right in thinking they're largely the same?
Three things I get from Lidl in bulk. 1) Passata, comes in long-life containers, only about 20p 2)
Noodles. There's a chinese brand of instant noodle at Lidl for about 8p
a packet and its some of the nicest noodles I've had. They cook really
well and blow the expensive noodles out of hte water comparatively. 3) Grafenwalder beer
Two things I love to get if I can. 1) The thick Salami sausages in the wax-paper (They're just excellent, taste really good). 2)
Bacon Lardons. Best I've seen from any supermarket, nice bit of fat on
them, all fairly similarly sized so they cook consistantly at the same
time, no added water, nice and firm and can be lightly fried or
charcoaled happily.
European Chocolate - big bar only 30p each. Its the nicest chocolate, 100x better than the british vegetable shit. European brand Ice cream. I
always lol at people who buy Carte Dor like its some kind of godsend, I
always tell them "Thats a basement value brand in europe, its SHIT over
there, its only PR and deceptive marketing which make it seem like its
luxury!" Buy the Eisstern Ice cream if Aldi do it, its incredible. |
