This is the best shrimp instant noodles ever. You need to rework it.

It actually has flavor. It's spicy and it's sour. And kind of tastes like the real thing.

You do an egg drop. after the ramen is done, turn off the heat. mix up the egg so its blended (as if you were making scrambled eggs) and stir the ramen so it spins in the pot. slowly add the egg while you keep stirring so that it gets thread-like.

It's your info graphic, OP, but might I offer an idea about the creamy chicken? I'll admit, it's AWFUL if you prepare it according to the package, but if you make it this way, it's pretty good:

I can't give you exact measurements, I have this Ramen Pot, you see, and I eyeball everything according to how it fits in the pot... (My pot fits one unbroken square of ramen noodles, just barely, it's a small pot)

Put about 1/2 inch of milk into the bottom of the pot, and about 1/2 tbsp of butter. Put the heat on like medium/medium high. Mix the flavor packet into the milk thoroughly, then add the noodles. Start stirring as soon as it boils, and wait for the noodles to soak up most of the liquid. Add spices while you're waiting (I usually go with basil oregano and garlic) to taste.

When the noodles are mostly done, and there's only a bit of liquid left in the pot, add some veggies (I usually go with frozen peas, frozen broccoli and fresh sliced mushrooms)

Now here's the tricky part: Reduce the heat to low, and start gradually adding about 1/3 of a cup of cheese (I like shredded cheddar, but do what you like), while stirring it CONSTANTLY and THOROUGHLY. The stirring is VERY important, or you'll end up with noodles with a big lump of cheese in the middle, so don't add it too fast, either. Once the cheese is melted and the vegetables are tender, it's done.

I always put slices of hard-boiled eggs, mushrooms, Jinghua ham, Shanghai Bok Choi or Yu Choi to my Spicy Mushroom ramen. Chinese greens are perfect for ramen since they only take a few seconds in hot water to become perfectly tender and cooked. Should be good with bamboo shoots as well, though I haven't tried.

By the way, each pack of Spicy mushroom ramen costs $0.50 when you buy them in boxes of 20 (should be available at your Chinese grocery store).

    >Ramen with egg

I do my a little differently than what's been posted so far.

I cook the ramen, drain the water, then return the noodles to LOW heat.

I then crack an egg directly onto the noodles and stir rapidly (just until the egg is blended in, you don't want it to cook or it will turn into disgusting tiny egg bits)

I think of it as sort of a Ramen Carbonara.

I do basically the exact same thing. Drain noodles, return to low heat. Add some kind of sauce, usually sweet and sour or teriyaki glaze, add nori and sesame seeds, maybe half the flavor packet and possibly bell pepper and onion. Then add an egg and stir it in, but it's basically uncooked.

For "instant" "ramen," I use rice sticks (bún) or bean thread (miến), powdered bouillon (Chinese beef, chicken, "wonton," fish, shrimp, etc) and dried mushrooms and seaweed.
I put a handful of mushrooms and a broken up piece of seaweed into a press pot and pour two cups boiling water over it.
I put rice sticks or bean threads into a plastic container and add just enough water to cover them, then lid it and let it sit.
Finally, I push down the plunger on the press pot and squeeze as much liquid from the mushrooms and seaweed as possible and put it into a pot over high heat. I add a soy and/or fish sauce and powdered bouillon, strain out the noodles, add them to the pot and off the heat.
Takes all of 5 minutes. It's superior to Nissin/Maruchan, but hardly vastly so, to be honest. I mean... it's markedly superior, sure, maybe on par with Shin, but it's certainly not "serve it to guests" good.

The ramen on the same/higher tier as shin ramyun that doesn't need any extra stuff to taste better. And also "mashinun ramyun" not sure for spelling, it's literally "tasty ramen" in korean.

I'd buy some of all three for variety though.

    (in order of preference)
Mashinun ramen - good with any vegetables + real broccoli is a must
Neoguri - seaweed ramen, needs nothing
Shin ramyun - good with eggs or plain (without veggie packet)

I prefer the cup/bowl ramen version of Shin ramyun (any flavor) over any of these though.

Yamachan (pic related) is my favorite brand, they're actually local (San Jose CA) in my area, not sure if their products are available in other states. It's usually in the frozen aisle at the local Asian market. It's pricey but one pack has three servings. Noodles are nice and chewy if you put the right toppings it's pretty close to cooked from scratch ramen.

Only a weeaboo would think that eating ramen is exclusively reserved for their own kind.

You mean 2 servings? That pack says 2.

LOL@OP. Chicken tastes fucking horrible. Like is that what chicken really tastes like? No way.
    Shrimp is that best!

Also, you can buy Asian ramen brands in boxes/packages at way more affordable prices at teh Asian supermarket.

There are several different variations of MaMa's Tom Yum. The Creamy Shrimp Tom Yum is the best!

Also, MaMa and other Thai instant noodles are not the same as ramen. The texture and tastes of the noodles are very different IMO.

Roast Chicken is widely available in my area but chicken mushroom was only around for about a year. Amazon sells all of those in 24 pack size for about 9 bucks. If for some reason you really crave it.

    >anyone that needs this, isnt going to have yu choy in their fridge, even bok choy is a stretch.
Why not? Asian vegetables are very affordable, even cheap. Bok choy is between $0.69 and $1.29 a pound (where I live, at least) and Yu Choy is only slightly more expensive. Any Asian grocery store should have them.

Thanks for that! You can buy ready-mixed chai tea in the grocery store, though, so the whole syrup thing would be a bit unnecessary.

How often do you guys eat instant noodles? I can't eat this shit more than once or twice a month. It tastes fine but it's probably ridiculously bad for you health wise.

It's not "bad" for you, it just lacks a large amount of nutritional value. You get more nutrition from it than lettuce, really.
