Konichiwa /ck/. This is one of you're good friends from /a/.

I just wanted to enlighten you to some /ck/ related animu, in case you feel like getting into a show.

Yakitate!! Japan=insanely funny. It's about baking bread, and ninja fights

Yumeiro Patissiere=A shujo (weekly anime aimed at young girls) about a middle school girl who wants to be a patissiere. It has recipes at the end of most episodes.

Bartender=An incredibly chill anime with an equally incredible smooth jazz soundtrack about a man called "The Glass of the Gods" who helps his patrons out with their problems by creating the perfect drink.

But the author actually doesn't know shit about baking bread.

Didn't he had like 4 consultants just for accuracy? I doubt everything's wrong. Except when he disregards that for story purposes.

the Yakitate!! Japan anime had 4 famous bakers as consultants who actually made sure EVERY BREAD IN THE ANIME was plausible except for like two of them.

I used to have a website that listed all the Yakitate recipes and instructions (albeit in Japanese, but it's easy as hell to translate because all measurements are by weight and all instructions are in simple Japanese and easily machine translated.)

I'd think i'd be more than two or three, but because of the skill needed. Those are probably possible in theory, but I don't think there are artisans that can do, say, the 3x3x3x3x3x3x3x3 fold

It's not that those breads are impossible. I just don't think these overengineered recipes would taste that good.

"Pasta" is an awesome Korean live-action fictional tv show about a love triangle in an Italian restaurant kitchen- So freaking funny and cute and heartwarming :3

    >Seo Yoo Kyung (played by Gong Hyo Jin), after training as a kitchen assistant for three years, finally gets promoted to chef at La Sfera, the high-end pasta restaurant where she works. When a handsome stranger helps her one day and then asks her out, however, she has no idea that he is the restaurant's new head chef. On his first day on the job, the demanding new chef, Choi Hyun Wook (Lee Sun Gyun) fires all the female cooks, including Yoo Kyung. Too stubborn to let go of the past three years of her life so easily, she will do whatever it takes to get her job back, and soon she and the chef are engaged in an ever-evolving battle as Yoo Kyung struggles to win the brusque master's respect for her cooking. Things are complicated by the presence of Kim San (Alex), a charming customer who often pays attention to Yoo Kyung and who seems to have mysterious ties to the restaurant, and Oh Sae Young (Lee Ha Nui/Honey Lee), a famous television cook who romantically betrayed Hyun Wook years before and is now out to win him back.

    some do, some don't.

example: the whistling bread they make in during the pantasia tournament, I've actually made.

It DOES whistle, but it's not loud, and it's pretty tasty. It's just standard french bread, but with an additional crust layer inside the bread.

No, really. How do you make bread whistle? I've made creppes squeal but I doubt it's the same.
