Are there any good sites/guides for proper food storage and how long things last and the best ways to store them.

I find much of the food I am buying goes bad before I can eat it and before I go grocery shopping and plan my meals I would like to see what all I should eat first.

I made something like that once...
It had, in no particular order, various lunch meat, sliced cheeses, cubed cheeses, french fries, breaded chicken patty, breaded fish patty, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, hot sauce, hot banana pepper rings, and probably a few other things I'm forgetting... shit that was good.
