A dealer cutting crack with bathtub cleanser is a big problem for the people who use crack, but they're taking a known risk using a substance they bought from a dude in an alley that they can't get any other way.

That's rather different from buying a jug of cooking oil at your local grocery and finding out it's A) strained from raw sewage, and B) killing you.

People eat food cooked with oil, they shit it into the toilet, toilet is flushed into the sewage system, oil floats to the top, oil is skimmed off, filtered, treated and bottled ready to be used again for cooking.

It's a very vicious, never ending cycle... Hey, when you are a country with over a billion people, you gotta cut some corners in order to make ends meet. Even if it means you gotta eat a little shit every now and then...
