Hey /ck/,I leave for college in about two months. I hate cafeteria food and love to cook so I want to do most of my own cooking. I'm looking for some recipes that are simple, involve very few ingredients (like 5 or less hopefully), are tasty, and of course, cheap.<<< Pic Related, its what I DON'T want to be eating everyday.
bump<<< more of what I don't want to eat
c'mon, I know /ck/ has some ideas

Sandwiches are easy and quick to make. Bread, eggs, tomatoes, lettuce/salad,meat of choice, and spread.Pasta is really easy to make too. Boil pasta, strain out water, cook with sauce.
>>1073825You can also eat rice. Rice goes with anything, add meat, vegetables, curry sauce...
Well, I'm getting quite a few suggestions as to what to cook which is great, I do appreciate them. But what I'm really looking for is some actual recipes that are easy to make with just a few ingredients and cheap!

I motion that /ck/ will see a lot of these "going to college" threads, however not nearly as many as eggs and mushrooms threads. All in favor say yay, all against, say nay.Yay.
Make a huge batch of fried rice and mix it with a couple chopped up chicken breasts. You can live off that for a week and the total sum would be like 7 dollars.
kraft mac n' cheese with different meats or veggies thrown in. hamburger helper with various veggies. get a big bag o' potatoes and make 'em into all kinds of shit. they will last a long time too. uh... eggs. rice. pasta.
Tuna casserole. I will relate to you a recipe for one:take four slices of bread, add milk until it's soggy and you can mash it upadd a can of tuna, mix it upadd whatever else you want (garlic, red chili, etc) stick it in the oven @360 for 35 minutes, or until it looks good to youeat
