Good Memories: Watching Iron Chef Japan always invokes great memories.
Rage: Not Iron Chef America related but kind of, since it involves "Iron Chef" Bobby Flay. Remember when he was on Iron Chef Japan and jumped on his cutting board after the battle? Then everyone got pissed at him for disgracing his cutting board by standing on it, so when he came back for a rematch he did the same thing but THREW THE CUTTING BOARD ON THE GROUND instead?

One of my favorites was the Chen Kenichi vs. Dominique Corby. It was Foie Gras battle and then Asparagus overtime.

There was also one with Chen Kenichi and he fought one of the brothers in a Pork Belly battle with Konyaku overtime. Shit was SO cash.

Original japanese show is vastly superior. And i say that as someone who hates anime and all japanese things, but it's just a fact.

I remember an episode of Iron Chef: America, where Batali was the Iron Chef squaring off against some bald black guy from (I think) Georgia, the challenge involving making drinks to go with each dish and something else.

They finish up cooking, and the challenger presents first. His dishes are an intricate and delicate composition of flavors and ingredients, combined to make a special meal of a lifetime. The meal was made to create a unique sensation on the taste buds, and each dish was perfectly presented on the plate.

Well, the iron chef japan is better but the cultural barrier bothers me a bit. Also the chefs are losing their face when they lose the challenge. It is cheery but deep down far more serious battle.

The american version is worse but quite entertaining. Especially when they have non-american celeb chefs like Jamie Oliver. I would have liked to see Gordon Ramsay brush the floors with the waste of space called Mario Batalli.
