/ck/, I've had persistent stomach pains for the past week. Can you guys recommend me some light meals to prepare? Preferably something filling, I had oatz for breakfast.

I somehow doubt your stomach pains are related to your diet but if you want a light meal just eat...

Oh I see what you're doing. You had me going there. 8/10

    No, I'm serious!

To be honest, I doubt they're related to my diet as well. I'm holding off on going to a doctor so in the meantime I'll retain the idea that it's the food I'm eating for at least two more days.

Go on the BRAT diet: Banana, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. It's something they make people do short term to help them with stomach pains.

    Just eat eggs.

I remember following that back when I caught some virus going around, although I only had bananas so I just ate those incessantly. I'll probably stick with bananas again, but I still need something filling. It's hard to compromise between healthy and delicious sometimes :/.

I actually thought of that, but because this is food related I figured it would do me better to post it here. I trust actual cooks more than oatzguyz

Rice is very good at filling you up. Make half a cup (uncooked) and it should last you a good portion of the day. I would also suggest making it into sushi rice (1 TBSP rice vinegar, 1 TSP sugar, pinch of salt mixed together and added after it cooks) but it might not be to your taste.

Healthy and delicious: PB banana sandwich.
    >> Anonymous 06/07/09(Sun)14:25 No.1013053
Interesting ideas. I just made a superlite veggie omelet, so I'll probably do the PB/Banana and rice ideas for the rest of the day.

Eggs can sometimes upset the stomach, so try this omelet idea but instead use cooked rice or raw, grated potatoes.

Soy milk/ Grass Jelly drink if you can find any Asian supermarkets nearby. Ginger ale if you can't. I generally find that drinks are much better at soothing the stomach than meals whenever it begins to hurt.

    This man is correct.

Is sushi rice the same rice used to make onigiri?
    >> S.T.A.L.K.E.R. !!WY87uX707R5 06/07/09(Sun)15:16 No.1013151

    Stolen from wiki:

"While onigiri is made with plain rice (perhaps lightly salted), sushi is made of rice with sugar and vinegar added."

    So, no.

Hm, I see. I'll have to try adding salt in, thanks.
