    Alright, new thread since the last one got image limit'd if someone can save all the non-/b/ cards and add them to the .rar that would be appreciated.

    Orders of business:
    -land designs. Not only basic lands, but I think there should be a couple non-basics, hinamizawa comes to mind personally. someone get my a panorama shot of the town or somethign and I'll make it work.

    -enchantments. I've noticed there are not a lot of them in the set. we should look into designing a few more.

    -color balance. I need to look at the updated .rar to find out what colors are more full than others and we should try to make cards in those colors we're missing.

    Commencing dump of 167 cards. I got another 20 that need some work on.

    Most cards are finished, except for rarities (do that in the end) and possible Legendary status.

    I also modded the color theory a little bit because by Magic's standards, there would be very little black cards that are /c/ute

    Also, I like Cardcaptor Sakura as all green. Nice choice!

    General Color Conventions I used:
    White: Law, Order, generally the "good guys" or goody-goodies, Innocence, Healing, Prevention of Damage, Police Officers (for the Lawful aspect), Dedicated to fighting evil (could be multi-colored)

    Green: Nature, Healing, Mother Earth, Elves, Catgirls, Spirit Magic

    Red: Chaos, War, Lots o' Hurt, Evocation Magic (DnD
    reference), General Destruction

    Blue: Intelligence, Illusion, Water (includes most water dwelling creatures), Air, all other DnD magic that isn't Necromancy or Evocation (or straight up summoning), Magical technology that isn't a straight artifact, Papermancers (see R.O.D.), Deception, Lying

    Black: Death, Decay, Demons, Succubi, pretty much anything from the underworld in Disgaea (but could be multi-colored), Hatred without Fury, Emotionally Dead, Generally all around accepted Evil

    The only difficulties I am having with some wordings. Some seem to have changed in usage or meaning over time:
    bury
    send to graveyard
    destroy
    remove from game
    sacrifice
    leaves play

    Also, you can tell I really like first strike, flanking and bushido

    Thought I'd post my favorite card I made recently. Red for the hot chaotic passion or white for innocent love. The Original Dirty Pair would be right behind this one as my favorite.

    also recent cards do not use :, that is replaced with complete sentences.

    -bury (old term), send to graveyard. The card leaves play and is sent to the graveyard on of the three fields; Library, Graveyard, and removed from play.
    -destroy. that card leaves play and is sent to the Graveyard.
    -remove from game. This card is removed from the current game, as in it can no longer be used. however how it is sent there will change effects. forexample if it is in play it will trigger "When X leaves play" yet if it is removed from the game from a players hand, that kind of effect is not triggered.
    -sacrifice. you can sacrifice a card to active an ability cost at any time you can play an instant. if you sacrifice during combat the damage is still sent to the creatures, you just sac'd it before the damage actually takes place.
    -leaves play. If a car leaves play that means it is sent to any of these 4 places from the game board; The Library, Graveyard, Removed from the game, or the players hand.

    also look at eventide cards for that effect thing you have going there. its also a bit too powerful.

    Like I stated in the first two threads, I am making cards for my own set to play. But you can use these or take ideas from from them.

    so then...
    Sacrifice means place X card you own in your graveyard?
    Destroy means place Y card your opponent owns in graveyard?
    Remove from game means no longer able to play cards that would bring it back into the game?
    Search is the verb used for looking through your library?
    (just wanting clarification)

    I have no problem fixing my cards to read the "if : effect" setup
    Although a couple like Konata's ability have more than one step so those don't fit the "if : effect" setup

    Another thing, what is the commonly accepted wording for limiting the number of times an ability can be used?
    Right now I have "You may use this ability up to Z times per turn."

    Sacrifice means that you place a permanent you control in its owner's graveyard. It can't be regenerated.
    Destroy means that whatever permanent is placed in its owner's graveyard. It can be regenerated unless the destroying spell/ability says otherwise
    "Bury X" has been Oracled to "Destroy X. It can't be regenerated."
    "Remove from game" means that the card is placed in the removed-from-game zone. For a long while, nothing (except Ring of Ma'ruf) could retrieve a card that was RFG, but now there are the Wishes and others.

    I said I was going to make a set with the older style but could easy change over to the new style (like I have here in this thread).

    But when multiple people were ignoring what I was contributing, I didn't see a reason to keep dropping cards in at that time. So I said forget it at that point.

    if you have a creature that has double strike it basically has First Strike and Regular combat damage. if a 1/1 blocks the creature it will die, but the regular damage will not carry over to the opponent unless that creature has trampling. it hits twice on the player, since it does first and regular.

    I would word the card like this:
    Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt by target attacking creature.
    Gain life equal to that creature's power if R was spent and gain life equal to that creature's toughness is W was spent. (do both if RW was spent)

    That's what you're trying to do, I beleive. the "can only play one per turn" shouldn't be an issue, maybe bump the mana cost to 2 R/W

    Also I do believe in what I've heard fa/tg/uys call "color bleeding" to an extent. For instance I can see people complaining about the Phoenix Rebirth spell, saying it should be white or green but I am going with the fire idea and you have to pay a lot more for it than a white or green version of it.

    Does the ability trigger when the enchantment comes into play? Whenever the controller feels like it?
    If it's a CIP ability, there's not a lot of point in making it an enchantment, 'cause it'd just sit around after that, doing nothing. If it's an activated ability, it needs an activation cost.
