Even though I like Hetalia, I think the endless threads and countless reposts are a bit too much (especially in /cm/ -- I mean, over 300 threads? What?). If they would stop for a while, that would be nice, but the threads still belong on /c/ and /cm/ whether the rest of us anons like it or not. Hide the thread or scroll past it and move on, like you would with any other thread.

Plenty of popular series have frequent threads here in /c/ - look at Rozen Maiden, characters from which have been dubbed mascots of this board.

Clearly Hetalia is beloved here in /c/, if the volume of it has become a contentious issue. I don't think any /c/itizen should put down or troll threads about series they don't like if they are not breaking any official rules.
(Although personally, I'm a Hetalia fan who participates in the theads and disgruntled /c/itizen proclamations of "ANUS POUNDERS HENTAILIA" still make me laugh out loud)
