Hey /c/,I'm a fairly new /c/itizen; I've been hanging around for a week or so, and I want to know:I've read the official 4han and /c/ rules, but what are the unofficial rules of /c/? Like, what do /c/itizens expect from other /c/itizens? Thanks in advance for the answer, I really want to be a long-term upstanding member of the /c/ommunity.Also, girls in costume/cosplay thread. Bonus points for dressing up like characters from another series.
This one's a given...
I don't know what this is, but I think it's cute.
i think the only unofficial rule is be nice, which should be a given with the nature of what we post
The first rule is to lurk more and find out the rules. The second rule: if you expect to receive, expect to give.Sit back and enjoy!
>>1052219That second one was never really a rule until that debacle that happened. The idea was more of an offering-type deal.Back when, people used to post threads for certain things, and get replies. They might even possibly ask for something, with only one picture posted, and get stuff in return. Now, such behavior is like blasphemy.Although I do understand, there IS always the growing influx of faggots, but still.Furthermore, your first "rule" is more of a /b/-type mentality.Anyways, I second the "nice" idea. It's not a rule though, just a stated idea.
This is all I (OP) have for now, and I'll be gone for a while, so I'll be looking forward to seeing everything when I get back. Thanks!!!
no rules. you're in 4chan, not some mainstream website.
the only thing to know here is the respect of other and being nice, we are the opposite of /b/ (hope you didn't clicked on that board)
>>1052241Don't say that! Now that poor newfag is gonna go check it out! "Do not click /b/", geez..
Okay, some things.. Haruhi is god, /c/ is for Chiyo-chan, and if you want to request something, you should have some of that in advance (Google is your friend). Starting a thread with just one picture is not cool.
>>1052253>> Haruhi is godI beg to differ.
>>1052253>haruhi>godnobody have faith in her since the S2
>>1052226The context is important. If you post one pic asking who is this and it's a rather obscure character then that isn't so bad - though likely youll get scolded for not checking iqdb, tineye, etc firstIf you post on pic and say 'Whatever GO!' then it's less likely to work, esp if there is already a thread for it somewhere else on the board.
OP back. Thanks for your suggestions, everyone! I'm probably not the only newbie around the board and I wanted to make sure everyone (myself included) knows how to best fit into the /c/ommunity and make this the best board on 4chan.As for your guidelines, I've got them down pat. I'm pretty much alwas nice and polite, even on the internet. As for starting your thread with images of your own, I posted 10 out of the first 16 pictures in this thread (and I plan to post a few more now).
I think this (and the next one) should count...
>>1052248Don't worry, I already knew about 4chan before I started hanging out here and I know about the horrors of /b/. I avoid it like the plague it is.
Pigtail theft isn't just for Azumanga Daioh anymore!
Haruhi and Lucky Star seem especially susceptible to this treatment...
Case in point...
But sometimes others are allowed to get in on the action.
Last one for tonight. OP out!
Keep Desu happy and you'll do fine.
Just be nice and it will be okay. That's the main idea (and I said idea, not rule) here in /c/.
Welcome to /c/, enjoy your stay.
