    Hello /c/.
This morning, my dog passed away. He was in his 12th year. A german shepard mixture, always full of energy and joy.
It was 8 o'clock, when my dad came in. I asked, "Did you give him the injection?" He replied: "I didn't have to".
    "End?"* I asked. "Yes."
    I was in total shock.
The saddest part is, that last day the vet told us if he won't vomit he have a good chance (he got many kinds of medicines, injections, infusions. The vet said he had some serious digestion combustion ).

But his weakened body couldn't take it any more.
God. He was like sleeping, so peaceful.
We made him a tomb made of "red marble", in a clearing at a pine-grove, at our field.
We will carve his name on one of the stones*, I think this is the least he deverves.

I hope he is now at a better place, in the eternal hunting fields*. May we meet again on the other side.

My simple request is, if you can, post images about saddness, sorrow, death, eternity etc (I think you get it).
Yes, I know this isn't the right thing, but just looking at/watching "fun", "cheerful" things makes me even worse. I'll start, and post whatever related from my folders.
Ah yes, another request: no emoticons.

*In my language, the word "Vége?" lit. means "End?"
It simply means "He died?/He met the end?".
*His name is a bit untranslatable. Literaly, we would get "Furry" but thats.... widespread dog name here btw
    (Bundás if any).
*I don't know if theres an expression like this in English, but when a pet passes, we usualy say this.

Oh man. I know what it's like to lose a pet.

Try not to dwell on it too much. Your dog was a true patriot.

OP I feel sad for you. I hope you'll be happy again some day despite such a loss. Your dog is now in a better place I believe.
BTW thanks for ruining my day faggot.

Hmm can't find any more, or they are duplicate file entries... great.

Also, Wanko.... geez that game made me feel se bad too. When I was playing it, the whole thing of passing time and death seemed frightening as I tought of my dog. And now, it happened.... that VN has much truths about life, just play it as a novel, and not as a H-game.

    Well I'm sorry.

Just remember what my grandmother told me:
"There is no medicine against death".

My family rescued a scruffy looking schnauzer from the local pound. I wasn't to thrilled with the new addition to the family, especially when I found out he was already named Spike. It didn't take long before he won everyone's hearts, even mine and the neighbours'. My girlfriend (and every girl my two brothers brought home) fell in love with him too.

Two years ago poor Spike got sick and his kidneys shut down. He was 15 years old and had a wonderful life. Fortunately for us we had a vet who was caring enough to come over to the house and help make the final arrangements. Our dog passed away in the middle of his favourite backyard instead of a sterile office. My brothers and I keep his ashes and fond memories.

My family dog passed away this year too. She was about 14.

The saddest part for me was that she lives with mum, in a city over 2000km away, and I had not been down to visit in about 3 years.

I never got to say goodbye.

12 years? That is a lot for a big dog.
We always have had a dog in our family. Sadly, that also means I already watched two dogs die (14 years and 11 years).

Sorry, I'm very foun by this and I just have to give it away in my native lenguage.

El corazon solo tiene un cierto numero de latidos para toda la vida, nada de lo que hagas cambiara eso... asi que solo nos queda disfrutar, apreciar y recordar lo que hacemos diariamente con todos los involucrados en nuestra existencia.

If you are going to love, do it with all your might.

If you are going to cry, do it with all your might.

Becouse you never know if those are the last minutes that you will spend with that some one.

I lost my dog 2 years ago. I got him as puppy, when I was 4 years old. He literally grew up with me. He lived 15 years (german shepard - dachshund mix).

Well, it was really hard to realize he wasn't with me after all these years. 12 or 15 years are a really long time, and you don't even realize how these little things grow on you.

Anyway, you were lucky, because you didn't had to see him suffering. I did. Never want to see anything like that. I wanted to end his suffering with my own hands, but in the end, I just couldn't do it. I curse the vet, he didn't want to get up from his lazy after dinner. My dog was crying all night in pain.

Anyways... "Fuzzy" is a more appropriate translation for Bundás.

Concerning the pic: I know, it's not anime, but still... Highly related.

thx, for ruining my evening, making me remember that night.

Losing a pet, or any loved one, is hard on a person's heart. But your dog is at peace now, and if there's an afterlife, you'll reunite someday.

You're so full of it, so you mean to tell us, that instead of grieving over your dog, you decide to go on 4chan and get yourself some pity by spending 10 minutes writing a paragraph about it, it either didn't happen or you dont care about your dog all that much

Have a little compassion. It's part of the grieving process, and if anon's /c/omrades can share and offer a little comfort, it's all good. If you don't like a thread, keep scrolling.

I'm sorry for your loss, Anon, it's very hard to lose a pet that has been with you for such a large chunk of your life. I hope you find some comfort in the fact that your dog is no longer ill or suffering, and watching over you somewhere, as he watched over you in life.
