i wouldn't even call it "a high".

It's just fucking bizarre. I was having a conversation with my roommate while on like a box of benadryl. I would startmlistening to a sentence and halfway through i'd forget what he said to begin with - so i'd have to figure out what he was saying based on context clues. It was unsettling. I'd also see those "shadows" in my peripheral vision; so i'd snap my head to look at the corner and nothing was there. Part of my brain was literally falling asleep.

The rest of my trip was really confusing as well. No short term memory whatsoever. And I felt really sleepy the whole time but I wasn't tired and couldn't fall asleep.

Overall, I'd say 4/10 - would not try again (though I ended up doing it about two more times just to make sure i didn't like it [i didn't like it])

i'm not saying you shouldn't do it - I just did not like it. I've done a lot of drugs, but this shit was not something that I enjoyed. It just "happens to you". Acid, X, weed (lol), shrooms - I can enjoy all of those. But getting "dryl'd" was not a pleasurable experience.

Also - Dyphenhydromine, as a class of drugs, is a deleriant. When you get into the upper plateaus, you literally start to seperate from reality and you just lose your shit. It's hard to control it when it gets to those points - because half of your brain is asleep and dreaming; so you'll start to weave your dream into your reality.

Benadryl isn't a good feeling, it's just a different feeling. You've taken too much and you'll find that soon. You also might throw up but you also may not. i take a good deal of diphen.... but i take suboxone (synthetic opiate), and DPH is an opiate potentiator, so im mostly looking for it to make my fade better.

I just took 300mg and im feeling pretty good.... but not a massive dose for me.

DPH actually reminds me of a certain research chemical (bk-mdma / methylone).... especially because of the audio and occasional visual hallucinations. But i was booting up the methylone that i was getting.... so it was at least an order of magnitude more powerful. Not sure if its possible to find bk-mdma any more, it might have made schedule 3 or something.

when i shot the methylone i would get a MASSIVE rush, and depending on the dose and how long i had been awake, I would immediately starting hearing a LOT of whispering from every direction. I would get some visual type effects sometimes, doing double takes because i would see a shadow as a person or something

How could DPH possibly remind you of BK? I have a hard time envisioning this, because my experiences were completely different.

DPH is a delirient while BK is a stimulant/empathogen. It's not even that trippy.

Now, when I megadosed amphetamine, I did get some psychotic visual hallucinations that were very vaguely comparable to those on DPH, but honestly I'd more closely compare them to the visual trails from SSRIs than the realistic delirium resulting from antihistamines.

In general, or specifically DPH hallucinations? Hallucinations vary greatly between drugs.

DPH, like other antihistamines (and perhaps other delirients too, though I haven't tried any), can produce visual and aural hallucinations so realistic, they CANNOT be distinguished from reality on a purely sensory basis. You can have a full conversation with somebody who is not in the room, then only hours later wonder if such a conversation really took place. You can examine a cockroach carefully before attempting to squash it with your foot (this happened to me), only to then discover it wasn't there at all. You can look at yourself in the mirror and not recognize the reflection. Shit is unsettling as fuck, and totally unrelenting.

Written words also turn into other words of about the same length. So for instance, if you try to read the sentence "David enjoys posting on /b/, because his identity is protected," you would instead read it as something like "David enjoins accidentally on /d/, because his iguanadon is projected." Notice that some words are only sightly modified, while "posting' is completely replaced by another random word. This is typical of DPH.

You will also manufacture recent memories that seem so real, you think they might be. So a given memory might be real, or hallucinated, or manufactured later.


It would be a fun (if terrifying) experience if not for the horrible nausea and exhaustion that accompanies it.
