It shows how phenomenally ignorant these protestors are. Corporate Personhood has existed in the US since the mid-1800s. However these people are too dumb to realize abolishing corporate personhood would remove the means by which the public can file lawsuits against corporations. What they want is the overturning of Citizen's United vs. FEC, which appears to be their first realization of corporate personhood as a thing.

OP, they're mad that corporations, while legally people, are not held to the same standard that a person is. For example, they see huge corporations blatantly violating the law and getting 0.001% of their annual revenue in fines, while their neighbor smokes a blunt and gets 5 years. They see corporations using their personhood to finance campaigns that further their interest at the expense of the 99%. That's what they're mad about.

Blaming the companies is dumb though, they should be blaming the politicians who sell out. I personally dont believe that a company should be able to donate money to a campaign (The government exists to serve the people, not the companies), but the blame is not entirely on them. It's the politicians who make the laws the corporations exploit, so don't blame Wal-Mart for your shitty pay, blame the politicians who refuse to raise minimum wage. Occupy DC.
