>>436974115Its not about that to most people, sure the crazy ones you see on the news everyday, but as an average and mostly bipartisan republican ( I hate identifying myself as such but I dont agree enough with Democrats and 3rd parties get you nowhere apparently) Its about what we should pay for. Birth control is first and for most a contraceptive. SO it feels like I am paying for someones lack of personal responsibility, future planning and decision making abilities. This is arguably as some people believe getting birth control is more responsible then simply being careful who, when, and how you have sex. There is also a moral issue were people believe that sex shouldnt be allowed to be a casual thing. Not that they are always saying it has to be consensual sex in the missionary position for the purpose of procreation with your female wife, but it shouldnt be just fuck whomever for shits and giggles. And I can see that reasoning. Now public funding of birth control may or may not lead to increased sex or decreased responsibility but it is an understandable fear. Plus you'd have top pay for it through taxes and I think you should only pay for things that are necessary and to me contraception is not necessary when the alternative is simply proper decision making about sex.
