You are analyzed every year on your personality, IQ, learning styles etc. If you are proven to have under 120 IQ, lack the ability to critically think or have a learning disposition away from black and white text then you get kicked out and automatically get a position at Mc Donalds.

It isn't sufficient for school teachers to be experts in their area, they need massive training in critical reasoning and psychology. Also, not every student should be working with teachers: much learning can be done self-serve. Math in particular needs to be taught with video games.

Where you getting the money for these suggestions? Part of school is to prepare students for real life... so your going to pay students for providing nothing of value???

There are several reasons other countries are ahead of us in education.

1. Stronger family model that teaches kids respect and realistic expectations. In the USA people want to be the next American Idol or NBA star... They don't want to ACTUALLY work for a good career etc..

2. There is a stigma about professions that require "dirty" labor. This is another factor of looking down on actual work. People don't feel that they should have to be janitors etc.. They would make more with less work by just receiving money from the welfare system.

3. Unions are systematically making it impossible to get rid of terrible teachers. The tenure system causes schools to be under funded and overall ineffective.

What needs to be done: Union stranglehold needs to be reduced on the school system. Teachers need to be judged by the results of their teaching and methods. Schools need to adopt a curriculum of Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, and Science. There needs to be an overall reduction in courses that have traditionally fallen into the realm of what parents should be teaching their kids.

Schools should be put into the private sector, and teachers should be rewarded financially for success.

I second the union thing. I went to a completely middle-of-the-road public high school. Some of the teachers were fantastic and tended to teach the AP classes and shit. But if you got down to a basic level class it was niggers galore and a teacher who did not give a fuck. The only teacher to get fired was one who sent an email through the school system with pictures of students he wanted to bang. even the business teacher, a well known coke head who had relations with students wasn't fired.
