The last traditional sitcom I liked was Lucky Louie and that was a parody of traditional sitcoms and how bad they suck.

I don't doubt that the Big Bang Theory has great jokes but I'd rather see science jokes on Futurama than a three-camera show tailored towards senior citizens like all of CBS' programming.

My dumb friend and his fat girlfriend love the show. I never saw anything in it worth even watching one episode from its commercials, but they wouldn't shut up about how funny and smart it was....

So I sat down and they each got to show me their "Favorite" episodes.

I honestly tried to watch them with the intentions of laughing and enjoying myself, I hate having things like that falling outside the bounds of enjoyment between friends.

I didn't laugh once in two full episodes. I didn't even crack a smile. They would make a joke, I knew they were trying to be funny but it just came off as dumb.

Then would sometimes make scientific jokes, and one of the ones I saw was so dead wrong it wasn't even funny.

I told both of them that there would be no repeats of this for me, the show was too stupid.

Their response? "You have to be smart to get the jokes. They don't just roll it out for you. Its high intellect humor."
