SPB is about humidity that town was moist and wet from the beginning, most of time we have decent winters (0c to -15~c) but they can be and -40c or +3 just like now, summers usually about +20 to +30, buy again they can be +40 and +10, so with humidity +40c its a real hell on earth its really hard.

Well, you truthfully aren't the country with the highest IQ average, so I do believe that
many do have some difficulties writing.

As do even the native danes, some write so bad that it is virtually unreadable, even after they've
passed the whole 10 grades in our school system.

I believe however that it shant be beyond my skill to at least learn to converse somewhat fluently in your most precious language.

honestly haven't the slightest clue what I want to do, and moving to Russia is sort of a whim, I just looks so interesting and its seems so different from where I live (Canada) like extremely different and that makes it rather appealing to me. If you were in my position where would you move?
as a side note: -I would do my schooling here in canada
-And I would evidently learn some Russian before I move there (already can read it, and understand some)

is a real shitholes, people there even dont have a instant medical help or schools, so if you're looking for that kind of different you're welcome, if not i guess (1mln people population towns) novosibirsk, volgograd, kaliningrad, ekatiringburg, nijniy novgorod. or moscow/SPB

Not OP but I buy and sell that stuff, it is expensive now they have an idea of the value. I can often sell it back to Russians, in particular Socialist Realism painting.

I could buy it in the 1990s for a couple of dollars a painting, now selling for a couple of 1000s. Wish I had just stored the lot.

The best place in my opinion was the market in Vienna as it is a famous market, many people from Eastern europe filled their cars and drove to it. I used to buy shipping containers of clothes, furniture etc.

    Hey ruscandy-ass.
I understand you don't give many fucks about politics, but generally speaking, what are your and your mates' views on the politic field in Russia? E.g. all these hilarious 'dialogues' between Putin and Medvedev, Putin being badass everywhere etcetc. I mean, it simply looks weird why so large portion of the nation bows to this joke.
    >greets form estcandy-ass btw

"Rolling in their graves" is typically used to refer to a current state of affairs that the dead would strongly object to.

I wasn't emphasizing Putin actually. I meant the whole political field - how everything is so fake to the point it's starting to be funny as hell. Do people buy all that or they simply don't give a fuck?

    >Rolling in their graves.

The idiom comes from sleep, ie a unrestful sleep where you keep moving the bedsheets and pillows.

The idea of course is death is the ultimate sleep, and to be woken in the grave takes a great deal of distress. Often to refer to legacy, ie political.

Saa'di uses it in the Gulistan. Probably one of the first uses.

oh well, people sure get that fake thing, i guess they think better putin then some bandits or clowns (try to search Vladimir Zhirinovsky, idk maybe there will be tranlations) there's no real option besides putin, - clowns oligarchs, we dont even have a decent party in parlament, they all suck ass. IMO ofc

    (not OP)

Zhirinovsky is one of a sequence of Russian baddies the west loves to promote as warmongering. The truth is often far removed, western news just can't get past the need for a badguy. Putin is the new one, as is Asad. Neither of which I like but the lens the west views from is grossly distorted.

Okay, that explains. Then again, isn't Putin comparable with oligarchs, especially now?

Other point i'm curious about - how people feel about the Baltic states; what are the things that these states are most commonly associated with?
