the numbers you picked had any validity to them, then perhaps your
argument would be a little more convincing. Working 30 hours a week?
Paying for health care, and then still being fucked when getting sick?
Not to mention your car insurance statement. Half of your numbers are
useless. Secondly, are you completely ignorant of the fact that raising
the minimum wage causes higher unemployment? Not to mention the fact
that all prices are driven up because of this. If anything, your
solution of raising the minimum wage does nothing but lower the living
standards of everyone. On top of this, it encourages people to illegally
work under the minimum wage, further screwing the people who are stuck
above it. As to your last statement, public schools give mediocre
schooling at the very best. If anything, if we were to allow schools to
be established on a competitive basis, then there would be MANY cheaper
private schools. However, government runs a monopoly on cheap schools,
in which it never has to worry about failing (as long as it keeps taxing
and pumping them full of money). Your charity statement is ridiculous.
