The sad part is that union workers are indeed hard workers, but the union leadership is stealing their hard-earned money and using it for their own political agenda. Union workers need to stand up to this shit. The companies aren't the bad guys. Look at the leaders like Andy Stern, he's living high on the hog, when those he represents are busting their asses to help make him rich.

Unions aren't needed anymore. Labor laws were non-existent when the unions started up, now exist! So being in a union, or forming one should be made illegal. They're nothing but thugs and domestic terrorists anymore pushing for their own political agenda.

A sockpuppet is an online identity used for purposes of deception.
The term—a reference to the manipulation of a simple hand puppet made from a sock—originally referred to a false identity assumed by a member of an internet community who spoke to, or about, himself while pretending to be another person.
[1] The term now includes other uses of misleading online identities, such as those created to praise, defend or support a third party or organization.
[2] A significant difference between the use of a pseudonym
[3] and the creation of a sockpuppet is that the sockpuppet poses as a independent third-party unaffiliated with the puppeteer.

true, I'd love to see a real libertarian revolution.. even a bloody one..

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is its natural manure." -Thomas Jefferson

Teachers can get screwed over pretty badly.
Levy doesn't pass because everyone thinks teachers get raises, so then they are spending there own money on certain things, they have 10 year old history/science books. Teachers need new things to teach to get through to students. Teachers also get lots of salery cuts, and in some states a lot of teachers can't find jobs.

Game designers, web developers/designers, and people in film are almost always over worked.
When they get a job to do, they do get paid what they should(most of the time) but they are worked to the bone, and then when its done, the time going from one project to another can take months. Which then they get screwed over.

We need unions, we need corporate greed taken away. If we could have unions being monitored correctly we can find and stop the greedy assholes that give them a bad name.

    tl;dr We need unions

The civil rights movement was largely a failure run by deeply corrupt ministers who, despite having the numbers to demand change, relied on guilting white folks into giving them scraps while letting animals like Huey Newton play bad cop.

The women's rights movement was deeply racist, cared only for middle class women, and was largely responsible for the continued nightmare of prohibition in America.

The gay rights movement, while the least blameworthy of the three, threw the lesbians and transfolk who actually bled at stonewall under the bus the first chance they got and hasn't done much at all in the last generation. Hell, they couldn't even outfundraise Mormons in California.

that's the biggest piece of bullshit i have ever heard of. can't get fired when you're doing a fucked up job (or not doing your job at all).

seiously - if you make more than 12-15 an hour - you are ripping people off for the low level of skill and knowledge job that you do. (Considering almost every electrical job can be done by someone with NO EXPERIENCE who can simply follow easy written instructions.
Of course you love unions - they empower people like you who have little skill or intelligence and have no desire to improve either.

    made the original statement.

Why are private schools so better? lets take a look at their classes shall we?
A lot are religious classes. Hows that far to have classes in which you study fiction and get good grades for?

Lets not forget you have to pay to get in, which means parents want their child to not waste money. You come home with a C and you get your ass whooped.

Also sports, you need good grades for sports, and private schools are known for outstanding athletics.

3 big major factors, that were not added into statistics about that.

But tenure is bullshit, I agree. But public school teachers dont get tenure and slack off. A lot of people go into the profession to make a difference and they really like their job. We can't blame a single teacher sleeping with a student or lazy as fuck out of hundreds of hard working people that go above and beyond to educate our future.

The following is my predicted system for controlling and manufacturing a revolution in the current era:

Create an enemy – The perfect revolution needs a perfect villain. The Communist Revolutions used the rich, the Fascists used minority groups. The enemy will be responsible for the problems you have around you, the more you re-enforce that the more people will be swayed.

Make use of imagery – The enemy may not be killing those around you, but it's best to paint them as they are. Sensationalism and one-sidedness will be your weapons. Remember to always use the images of the enemy retaliating against you and never the image of you striking.
    >> Anonymous 10/11/11(Tue)22:22:20 No.358053038
    >>358052921

Make use of Sockpuppeting – The career posters and pseudointellectuals often portray themselves as anti-conformist, but the ultimate irony is that anti-conformity carries the same emphasis on popularity. Master the art of sockpuppeting, make the fight against the enemy seem bigger and more supported. You will attract the anti-conformists by making it seem relatively popular.

Emphasize vagueness – You want everyone to join you in your new fight against the enemy, however, specific points may turn people away. While you're building your new army you must be vague about what you want. Keep things short, use broad terms that are harder to be seen as overt, stick with “Us VS them!” or “We demand freedom from X!” be vague but maintain the idea that it's a fight for everyone against the enemy.

Encourage Suppression – Make use of those who are true believers, questioning is never good, it may make people in the group see what's happening. Paint those who don't understand the “true cause” as being sympathetic with or planted by the enemy. Make those who do question the movement fear being cast out.

Make Use of New Media – Only cite or give insight to media that supports your cause, this will often be blogs or social web communities. The Mainstream Media is mainstream for a reason, they will focus on both viewpoints as opposed to yours. You must also enforce the idea that the media is controlled by your enemy.

Provoke attacks against yourself – Willfully provoke attacks against your group. This goes hand and hand with using imagery. So long as you can justify provocation with fiery rhetoric you can paint those tasked with enforcing the law as working with the enemy.

It seems you don't understand WHY we have a second amendment.
here is a nice hint, it is not for self defense against natives and bears

The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.
    -Thomas Jefferson

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” (Quoting Cesare Beccaria)

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. -Thomas Jefferson

I use a nonunion electrician. He was born in Mexico. The motherfucker swam across a deadly river and then walked through a desert to make it to this country. Then he managed to get papers and a clean goddamn social security number basically by working his ass off and collecting the right favors. The guy does incredible electrical work, charges half of what the local unions guys charge, knows how to save money, completes the job in about two thirds of the time, and he does the work himself instead of using an apprentice or a journeyman and taking a cut for watching. I've passed hardcore city inspections with this guy's work because he gives a shit and he values the opportunity to make a living.

But I will say private school is tougher most of them have a different grading scale 83% = C
    95%= A
It's gotta be tough being a student but with the enviornment they grow up in they were brought up to achieve excellence not like public schools(I would say city school, and schools with less money to use as public schools in nice towns with enough money for new books and devices every 5 years or so)

I say there are too many factors to make private schools better because of no unions.

That we can both agree on I hope.

I need some help describing a political viewpoint.

What kind of political stance is it where you want the government to control a lot of different things, and actively try to aid and help people in their daily lives, providing lots of different government programs? Something where you want the government to be relegated to a self-defense force, and the country to be mostly isolationist and self-reliant. Something where you want government to control and regulate massive companies to make sure that they are doing business ethically, keeping their employees and consumers safe, etc. Something where only a limited amount of people are allowed to vote and run for public office, some of the requirements might be completing schooling, public service, etc. So basically policies like all of that.

Try to keep the smartass answers to a minimum. I just need a correct term.
