something you type of non-smokers do. You try to make it sound like we
take joy in the harm smoking causes. When you play football you enjoy
it. But I don't act all sarcastic and tell you that you feel joy from
every bit of pain and injury you'll recieve while playing. Why? Because
it's not the truth. Come back when you can argue with facts.
Down to it it's simply a mixture of risk and preference:
Some
people like to smoke, some don't. Those who don't can go their life
without much choice. Those who like to smoke will have to play a risk
game. Should they stop now and have a greater chance of living to be
older, and not die in painful ways. Or do they roll the dice and hope
they don't get cancer from it while continuing to smoke. Of course
smokers' health does drop because of damage to the lungs and hardening
of the arteries, but once again it's just a decision of whether the
smoker really cares that his/her health is declining (slowly I'll add). |
