The Tea Party's success was due to a lot
more things than their own aggressive support. They had public ire to
ride on, and that ire is no longer pointed at the democrats. Especially
now, with the Tea Party in power, they are damn near caricatures of
corporate shills and have only hurt their own cause through their
actions. I doubt any republican stands a chance, let alone bachman,
unless Obama does something majorly stupid between now and elections
(possible, yes). Apparently all you have to go on are sensational
stories of right wing bullshit, because that's what sells newspapers,
and it reinforces what you already want to think of us anyway, hmmm? |
