So my girlfriend broke up with me a month ago. I handled it and kept her around because she said she just wasn't interested in a relationship right now. And for a while, I thought things were getting better. Her birthday is coming up soon and she likes to cosplay so I bought her all the stuff she needed for the costume she wanted, as well as Portal 2, and a kigurumi, not to mention I spent money to prereg to the con that she wants me to go to. All in all, I've spent around $300. I find out a couple nights ago she had a dream about her ex boyfriend (from like 3 years ago) and she felt happy. Of course, she doesn't tell me about the dream, but she tells my best friend. Then, a couple days later she tells me she never loved me in the year she's known me, and she was only ever infatuated with me, and if I can't think of her only as a friend, that she'll leave. However, at the same time she's spilling all this crap about wanting me to be in her life and that I'm such a good friend. Well guess what, I don't believe it. She lied about loving me, she can't tell me anything, she says one thing and then means another, and I really don't know what to do. Most people would say just leave and don't look back, but I know if I do that she'll actually probably be happier without me and that would drive me batshit insane knowing when it's all said and done that I meant nothing to her.
