04/23/11(Sat)05:16:50 No.324481861We're
a new global culture. The 'Digital Natives.' We've already conquered
the media, and we're spreading fast. We bring a revolution of ethics and
etiquette, a revolution of reason and communication. For example: 1) The cardinal sin of the internet is Unwarranted Self Importance. 2) Digital Natives recognize that any time they are not completely naked, they are in costume 3) Do NOT get butthurt. It won't get you anywhere. You'll just become a lulzcow. 4)
Do it for the lulz. We don't have any access to objective morality. The
is/ought gap undermines Sam Harris and William Lane Craig both. We
decide what we do. We can choose to inherit the world of our fathers, or
create the world we want to live in. Do it for the lulz. In the end,
lulz is an existential thing. In the absence of objective morality, our
two options are nihilism (where we succumb to meaninglessness) or
existentialism (where we create our own meaning and purpose). Lulz is
subjective, existential meaning. 5) We're not your personal army. You
can gather like-minded people to participate in collective action, and
you can work to persuade others to see things as you do, but nobody has
any obligation to 'obey' you, and you're under no obligation to 'obey'
anybody else. You're personally responsible for your actions, and I'm
personally responsible for mine. It's the synthesis of individualism and
collectivism. NYPA. 6) Dox or GTFO. This was originally 'tits or
gtfo', and misogynistic response anytime anyone claimed to be a woman.
While it does depict sexism, it also depicts skepticism. If you can't
prove it, we will not accept it as proven. You claim to be a woman -
present proof. The meme evolved into 'Dox or STFU' to apply to any
instance where skepticism is called for. Namely, any time an unproven
claim is made. |
