Sydney has more violence and assholes than Melbourne because it attracts a much bigger variety of ethnics. Sydney is full to the brim of wogs, gooks, seppos, SNAGs, faggots, try-hards, guidos, and everything else possible. But Sydney does have a banging nightlife everywhere you go. Darling Harbour is fucking awesome to cruise around even if you just walk around the place after a couple of drinks and admire the beauty of the place. On New Years it is one massive fucking orgy of a party where everyone just gets together as a whole and celebrate together. Even if you're standing next to 50 people you don't know, they will befriend you quickly and that's why Sydney is awesome. We also have the world-reknowned Opera House which anybody from any country will recognize. I don't see many famous buildings in Melbourne that people outside of Australia would know except for the universities. Our weather is much better and our beaches are class.

Melbourne has shitty weather but is much nicer than Sydney because of it's nice architecture there. Many Asian people flock to Melbourne and not Sydney because the universities there are much better than Sydney's and so they can hang in groups from their own countries. Melbourne people are crazy about football (AFL not faggot NRL) and so watching a match between brisbane and collingwood for example in a crowd of 50,000 in the MCG is so fucking cool because of their passion.

Sydney - better nightlife, party town.
