why would you want a PC with those specs for that price? I mean, you can definitly get a better PC for a hundred, hundred-fifty dollars extra.
Heres the main difference between the Apple and PC
PCs are upgradable and easy to fix. Apples you can not upgrade, its too hard and expensive to find parts and if it does break down you cant send it back to get fixed because you voided the warranty by buying it off ebay.
my advice to you would be, do more research and buy a good PC instead of getting stuck with a dead end apple

Choose PC, and install Linux or FreeBSD.

Depends on what you are looking for.

If you play games your best bet is to go Windows.

If it is just for general use and you want cheap as possible I would suggest Ubuntu or other Linux based operating system. Its got a bit of a learning curve but a good community for any questions.

If its for general use but looks nicer and you don't mind paying for the OS and other programs go Mac.

Steam just released a bunch of shit for the mac so the games thing is kinda falling apart. I have a mac and i haven't had a problem with it. Go to an apple store and play around with one and see if you like it. then go to any other electronics store and play around with a pc model you're looking at. Get whichever one feels best to you

The reason why Macs dont get viruses is because NO ONE USES THEM! They make up 2% of the market. Macs do crash but not often because they dont have enough programs out to overload the system.

always buy new when getting a pc. you never know what you get when you buy a used one. and for brand id recommend asus. some say they got shitty support but i dont know if thats true as i have never needed it. and ive used asus for many years, both pc components and in recent years laptops

yes there are more viruses floating around for windows but thats only because its the most widely used OS. Never have liked Apple's claims that theyre 'thinking different' when really they arent theyre just releasing what windows released like 4 months later.
