use iRip, make a copy of your iPod. Windows and mac.

ok, here goes...

Go to my computer>tools>folder options>view>enable "show hidden files and folders"

plug in your Ipod, hold shift as you do to prevent itunes from syncing. go back to my computer, find your ipod, then look for a folder called ipod control. Copy the entire music folder to your hard drive.

bada bing bada bang, you have all your music now backed up. The file names are all changed, so you wont be able to know what's what, however, media players will know as all metadata is intact, like album and artist name's and shit. If you wanna put the music back onto another ipod, you gotta open all the folders one by one and put the music into a new folder.
