I Don't know where you fuckin live but here in NY where it's the second hardest state to get a permit, you can get one within 6-8 months. Anything longer and you fucked up on the application and put down a reference and when asked said you were stupid or crazy or something. Miniguns as well as all other types of fully automatic rifles are illegal to own unless you have a Class A license (which is pretty damn fuckin hard to get).

The easiest license to get still takes a shit ton of time (took me about a year) and it only allotted some small number of bullets per clip.

In contrast, it's 50 trillion bazillion times easier to legally get weed from a doctor.

There is no such thing as a 'class 2 permit' They are talking about Class II or Class III SOT FFL's which DEAL in such firearms as shortbarreled shotguns, machine guns, suppressors, etc.

To OWN one you simply need to file a fuckload of paperwork, get two sets of fingerprints done for the FBI, have the chief law enforcement officer in your area/state sign off on the transfer saying you're not a fucking crazy asshole, then you buy a $200 tax stamp from the ATF and send in your paperwork on an ATF Form 4 and wait for 3-9 months for your transfer to go through, then you can go down to your local Class III dealer and take possession of your new expensive ass toy.

Note, because of the FOPA of 1986 that froze the legal number of registered transferable MG's, prices are insane.

Legal M16 is $10-15,000
HK MP5? $14-20,000
AK? 12-25k depending on model
M60? $35,000+
etc etc.
