let's bring some realism into this thread. As someone who can play
guitar and has "learned" a basic grasp of DJing, I can honestly say when
I was learning guitar I felt as though I was getting better at
something, learning a new skill. When I was DJing it just felt as though
I was performing an action, something anyone could do. What everyone is
describing to argue for DJing is MAKING ORIGINAL MUSIC and then
performing it in a subpar way (as a DJ). If a bunch of dudes play some
sick keyboard riffs, heavy drums, and intense electro guitar, would you
rather have them record it and play the recording for you, or ACTUALLY
FUCKING PLAY IT at a show? |
