Platinum pissed me off the most. Ruby was alright. I love Silver and Gold. Yellow actually took skill because they was no missingno and Red and Blue were the shit because of missingno.

The Pokemon now are uninspired and look like shit. New legendaries hold no meaning to me like the birds did or Mewtwo.

Generation I was badass. Generation II was good. Generation III was all in all pretty lame. Generation IV is pretty good. I mean, Electivire's awesome! Sneasel was kinda lame, but WEAVILE IS A FUCKING MONSTER!!! The starters have just been terrible for the last two generations (except Infernape), but Sinnoh rules.

pokemon gold and silver: had the old school formula, but added some new tweaks to it (was i the only one back then who thought the morning, day and night system was awesome?) i personally thought gold and silver were better than blue and red (though only by a little)

I remember playing blue and yellow having so much fun. I bought crystal and saw the pokemon were all different but still liked it. When diamond and shit came out and I saw what they did to the pokemans I died a little inside because instead of a fucking fire dragon/salamander was a fucking monkey, instead of a turtle which gets cannons on its back is a fucking turtle and instead of a dinosaur with a plant on it you are given a fucking potplant. fucking generatio III and onwards has ruined pokemans

I played the Orignal Blue, Red and Yellow on my original gameboy and Japanese Silver (got a fake one like months before release here) on my Translucid GB Color and Gold in Spanish (mexifag) when it was released. I took my link cable to school for like two or three years and used to battle with other kids when classes were over, fucking golden memories.

I don't care at all for legendary Pokemon. No use for them in battle. They are the kind of Pokemon you caught just so you have them, without no particular use. (Not saying they are weak, just not Pokemon one should use for battling)

Aside from Palkia/Dialga (which look like Transformers to me) Darkrai is fucking awesome. Arceus is whatever and Shaminin (or whatever) isn't even really a legend, since there's plenty of them. Plus there's the Uxie/Mesprit/Whatever trio which are okay, but petty rip-offs wannabes of Mew (Like Celebi or Jirachi). I don't care for them, but don't have nothing really against them either.

I grew up with gen 1. Except I'm not a fag who goes "BAWWWW, ORIGINALS WERE RUINED".

Graphics got better, story got better, there was a whole lot more shit to do and pretty much everything improved. ...except in gen 3, but gen 4 made up for that.

Any time any game, movie, story, whatever the hell it is... even if the result ends up better there are always a whole bunch of fags who can't stand the usual added characters and how it's different yet still somehow the same as the one they originally liked.

And for the usual fags who say the designs got worse, take another look at your precious originals. Jigglypuff, Voltorb, Oddish, Diglett, Poliwag, Bellsprout, the list goes on. All these designs were shit but you loved 'em anyway.

lolrant yes, but fags like OP are so damn afraid of things being 'ruined' (read: changed and added to) that they'll never allow progress with anything.

The only thing I'll agree with the design changes in pokemon though is that it's seemingly catering more and more for furries. Gen 5 got off to a bad start in that way.

I'm sticking with Pokemon 'till the end. I still love the games (don't watch the show) and although the games are still getting better, gen1 is my favorite.

Because no matter how good a game gets, no matter how advanced our handhelds become, you can never again have the same feeling of going out with your friends at lunchtime and you KNOW that everyone will be playing Pokemon. Everybody knew everybody, not because they were all friendly, but be cause everybody played Pokemon.

It will never be like that again, and it makes me want to cry.
