Final Fantasy 9 was superior specifically becuase it does not have AS BIG of a yaoi fanboy fanbase thats jizzez every time you mention the game, it was refined, and throw back to the 8 games prior to it, and had a compelling story.

7 on the other hand was bland, convoluted typical dragonball z bullshit story line. it took too long to do anything and all the anime boring brooding characters could have been replaced with kolas and the game would have been significantly improved
