There are only a few things in life that you REALLY should have done before you die. One thing is reading the book "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov (Владимир Владимирович Набоков/ Wladimir Wladimirowitsch Nabokow). This is one of the greatest Love stories ever written.
Lolita is listed in the TIME 100 Best English-language Novels from 1923 to 2005. It is fourth on the Modern Library's 1998 list of the 100 Best Novels of the 20th century.

Taking the screenshots and enhancing the quality a bit took me 3 hours. You won't find those pictures anywhere.

Lolita is a great, great book. You have to read it a bunch of times to realise exactly what he's trying to do.

However, the problem with the Jeremy Irons movie is that it's TOO literal. It takes everything in the book at face value, when in reality, Nabakov clearly wants the reader to understand that Humbert is often an "unreliable narrator".

That's a major fault in the movie, and I don't even know how to fix it.
