01-28-2010: Pokemon Generations will be online enabled and will be
replacing friend codes for customizable Usernames. Conflicting
Usernames will have a number tag [1 or 2] temporarily attached for the
sake of relieving confusion during online play. Adding friends will be
a one-click ordeal. Generations will utilize an adjusted version of the
Euphoria Physics Engine to make attacks connect and create a visual
difference between attacks of various pokemon. [For example: Snorlax's
tackle will pack a lot more of a punch than Pikachu's tackle.] *Update
01-29-2010: Whiting Out will return in a form of the trainer fainting
during Trainer Battles or Fleeing during battles against Non-Boss
[Legendary Pokemon] battles. Pokemon are Classified as
Legendary, Mythical, and Normal. Examples of Legendary would be Mew,
Lugia, and other very powerful Pokemon. Examples of Mythical include
the legendary bird Pokemon and the legendary dog Pokemon. Mythical
pokemon tend to travel between regions, but are easier to defeat than
Legendary pokemon, who tend to have Nests or Home Areas. During
Legendary Battles, if you lose the pokemon will flee their area and
only return after a certain period of time. Some Legendaries can be
captured, others leave behind an egg after they are defeated.
Legendaries have to be defeated under certain conditions before they
can be captured but most importantly can only be attempted during or
after certain in-game events. If you decide not to capture a Legendary
Pokemon when given a chance, you may revisit it's nesting area to
re-challenge it later in your adventure, and it may have a more
valuable moveset or prove to be more of a worthy challenge to your
Pokemon Team. A given party of pokemon can only have 1 Legendary and 1
Mythical.
