I dated a guy for a year my senior year of college. I am now in my 3rd year of med school. I was on reddit the other day, reading a post by an emergency med doctor re. the craziest things he's ever seen. I stumbled across a user who said something pretty clever, and checked out their other posts. Turns out, it was my ex-boyfriend who I haven't spoken to in 2 years (since we broke up- also 3rd yr med student). Obviously, I read every one of his posts. Out of curiosity sake. I know it is him because he posts videos of himself doing Radiohead covers. (He's a really good musician.) Eventually, I got to one of his posts that was commenting on the 'scumbag girlfriend' meme...I perked up in my chair a little and read on... It said something along the lines of, "Has premarital sex, thinks homosexuality is a choice." To which he commented, "I just broke up with a girl like this a few months ago. She believed I was going to burn in hell and I couldn't date someone who thought that."

Now.

1. I DO NOT believe homosexuality is a choice.

2. I DO NOT believe he is going to burn in hell. (He's atheist- I'm Christian)

3. It bothers me that he thinks this.

Is it REALLY creepy if I send him an e-mail explaining I don't think he's going to burn in hell and that he's got me all wrong? I just don't want him to think that I feel that way about him. We had a lot of fun together and would probably still be together if we hadn't gone to med school in different states. Wat do?

To answer your question. Yes, you will look very creepy and crazy.

Just ignore it. Go on with life, and if for whatever reason you want to have a coffee with him in the future, you'll look a lot less insane. Don't burn a bridge by assuming its you.

Let me clarify this timeline.
I just finished 2nd year. We broke up August 2011. Less than two years ago. Read the post about 2 weeks ago. It was posted 3 months after we broke up.
