hi, first of all, im a medical student and also a scholar.
i got caught by a professor "cheating" on an exam.

it was a rookie mistake that got me caught but, anyhow, here's what happened.

last night

a scholars ball was made, and there was a small pageant for the scholars, and being one of the hosts of the said event i went up on stage. to my surprise, lo and behold, one of the judges for the pageant was the same professor that caught me "cheating." so i smiled at her, she did not smile back, i made a joke that cracked almost all of the people in the room. she did not. she just stared at me with the look of disgust. then she turned and asked one of the other judges (head for scholarships) something (she was looking at me and asking him) so i presume that she was surprised that i was indeed a scholar.

so later that evening..

the professor, being the judge, was given a task to ask questions for the contestants, and she asked "what would you do if you caught a scholar cheating?"


so from there i knew that she wanted me to know that she knew that i cheated.


so just some facts to help you profile her.

1. she is very kind (gave plus points for students who attended class, one time most of the students were really noisy, she got pissed, took away the plus points. but after a few students approached her and said sorry, she gave the whole class the plus points back.)

so judging by the way she handled the situation, i think that she is indeed kind. but just got pissed that someone cheated on her exam.

2. she is the head of her department (i know, im f*cked)

so how do i go about this situation?

a. i go head on today, and do my best to convince her that i struggle with the subject, and if i take the "pass or fail exam" that ill definitely lose my scholarship.

b. wait till next week but still do the same thing?

tl;dr im a scholar who got caught, need input on how to smooth things our with head of certain department.
