i would almost say doing an internship or work study program should be required in uni but then you'd have way too many qualified/experienced grads. too bad as it is right now they still graduate and increase the number of degree holders anyway

I generally get around 30 hours a week working at a movie theater. I'm currently a projectionist and its dead easy to do, plus free movies and what not (which gets old after a while). The hours you get are heavily dependent on how busy it is, and how busy it is really depends on what movies are currently out. Overall though, I'm pretty happy with my part time job. I even bring some books with me sometimes so I can do some school work when I'm upstairs in the booth

Internships are during the summer, and my major doesn't have co-ops at all. Besides, if I got a co-op I could only work during school hours and no weekends. I know that sounds awesome to a lot of people who party and shit on the weekend but not me. I would much rather be working earning some cash on a friday night than spending it playing vidya or watching movies again.

30 hours is a lot if you're a full time student. The basic research says anything over 20 and your grades start to be affected.

I'd suggest something in food services. Tips aren't taxed. If you bartend or serve on on busy night you can make in up in tips about 5-10 hours of minumum wage work.
