    Hey /adv/

I'm a 16,soon to be 17 year old guy and want some life guidance from other people who I assume would be older than me and could teach me to learn from their mistakes.

Im putting most of my time and effort into school, however most of our teachers are pretty ordinary and the school never gets amazing graduate results.

I dont drink/do drugs, im not straight edge its just my decision, ive never had a girlfriend, Im only 5"6 and I wont be growing much more which probably has something to do with it, but I guess it can wait until im older?

This is the part I really need help with, I have no idea what I want to be when im older.

I also have pretty much no hobbies/interests at all.
Ive got $50 life savings and have never had a job before.

Thank you to any replies, im very grateful :)

bullshit. You're telling me you spend all your time at home doing nothing?
also what subjects are you studying?

Good on you for choosing not to drink and do drugs. Try to be more active. Put yourself out there. Volunteer to help around school and the community, you have something to put on resume and you can meet new people and gain new experiences. Don't stress yourself out over getting a girlfriend, i wasn't that interested in dating during highschool and didn't date until i was 19. i was kind of picky and guarded, and it paid off. i know what you mean not having hobbies and interests that can apply to a future job. There are so many jobs out there, and a lot of cool ones you probably don't even know exist yet. Remember there is no shame in doing manual work like landscaping or welding (or being a hazmat worker dohoho ) .

    1. I enjoy music (metal/hardcore) but thats really it, I used to be big on gaming/computers but thats not the case anymore and ive never been good at sports.

    2. Extension English, Maths, Ancient History, Business Studies and Legal Studies.

    3. Thats what my friends keep telling me but I honestly dont like any girls in my school (800 total, small school), and I dont go out much to see girls from other schools.

Drink and do drugs or you'll miss out.

Now that I'm older, the most common question I get from my friends that never did drugs:

    "What is it like?"

Do stuff you are not comfortable with, it will open you up to new experiences and give you invaluable life experiences.

Also remember to keep up some rl relationships, you always need somebody bro.

You can't exactly say that you don't have ANY interests. I mean you have to play video games, watch movies, ect. There are careers in everything you do. You are on the internet right now and there are several opportunities for creating webpages and stuff like that. Just look at what you do the most and see what job opportunities there are.

    >realise you're a 24 year old neckbeard living in your parent's basement and haven't kissed a girl in 2 years

Yeah, you're probably better off doing the opposite of anything I say.
