Every decade or so a disorder will bounce into the media spotlight (right now it's autism, obviously), which makes every parent search their kids for signs of autism, which makes them see little autistic quirks they wouldn't have otherwise noticed... little quirks that only set them apart from the crowd just a bit, yet their mommy decided to take them to the doctor and have them labeled as autistic.

Makes me rage. If they're only a "little" autistic, don't label the poor kid and let them live life.

The fact that it took a number of diagnoses before she got Asperger's - conveniently the last one, too, indicating she was "happy" with it or felt it "explained everything" - is only further evidence.

I'm not saying my word is the final verdict here, but I highly doubt she's autistic.

I was labeled with asperger as a teen but consider myself misdiagnosed, I'm more likely schizoid. With that said, while I agree that the two may be mistaken I don't think like the picture suggests that all "aspies" are schizoid. I used to go to an asperger class and all of the students were really social and outgoing even if fumbling and awkward. Not schizoid at all. Even if the technically have similar symptoms the difference is really blatant if you're not an idiot.
