shit, it's not over for you yet man. you're 40, but you've still got plenty of time. first and foremost worry about getting an income and lodgings. try to avoid leeching off of another family member if you can, it'll be easier to fall back to your lazy ways.

work on improving yourself and actually getting skills, work out and get healthy. make new friends. being the sort of person you are, try to find nerdy people to make friends with, they'll have similar interests and probably be less daunting to talk to than a "regular" person.

If you don't want to get a job you can just kill someone you never really liked and get sent to prison for a while. You won't have video games there but you'll have books, exercise and if you're smart about it, friends. You'll definitely discover some new interest or skill if you force yourself. It'd be much more interesting than killing yourself, for sure--especially the crime part. Who knows, maybe you'd get away with the first one or two or three and then you'd have fun and money. Just break into someone's house (i.e. of the person you don't like, just vandalize the shit out of it) in the middle of the night, though you may want to consider whether or not your state has "castle laws" where the owners could lawfully murder you for invading.
