Smoked yesterday tomorrow I have to take a drug test.
What are my chances of passing?
I went like 6 days of not smoking and only smoked a bowl yesterday.

THC stays in your system for about a month. if you have money, I would say buy a cleanser from your local smoke shop. if there isn't one close by, then go to a GNC and buy one there. they run for like 50. or you could just drink shit tons of water til you pee clear and go to walgreens and buy a thc drug tester to see if you pass. if you pass that, then you pass the drug test you will take tomorrow.

    >taking parts of what I said and exaggerating what I said to make said post look ridiculous

Weed has actually been proven to help with certain types of cancer. I never said it cured cancer you retard.
Legalizing weed would save massive amounts of money on loads of things.

You are no longer paying 50k a year PER PRISONER IN THE U.S. FOR WEED RELATED INCIDENTS.
Yes, really. On average each prisoner costs 50k a year to maintain, and with a massive percent of these prisoners being incarcerated for weed related incidents, you are saving a fuck ton of tax payer money.
If you legalize weed you are no longer spending loads of money for anti-weed campaigns. It's actually part of the anti-drig campaign, but more than 60% of all those funds go directly into fighting weed. That's not like 5000$ you're saving, it's at LEAST a hundred million a year. At the very least.
Not to mention, making weed legal leads to the government being able to tax the living fuck out of weed to the point that you are now making money for the government.
This isn't even going into the medicinal uses for weed, or even the fact that you can now use hemp far more often since it was more durable than cotton, and can be used for so many more things.

So, tell me again why this plant that is less harmless than legal cigarettes and alcohol that are direct causes of thousands of deaths a year should be illegal.

    >A 2002 review of medical literature by Franjo Grotenhermen state that medical cannabis have established effects in the treatment of nausea, vomiting, premenstrual syndrome, unintentional weight loss, insomnia, and lack of appetite. Other "relatively well-confirmed" effects were in the treatment of "spasticity, painful conditions, especially neurogenic pain, movement disorders, asthma, [and] glaucoma".
Preliminary findings indicate that cannabis-based drugs could prove useful in treating inflammatory bowel disease, migraines, fibromyalgia, and related conditions.
Medical cannabis has also been found to relieve certain symptoms of multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injuries by exhibiting antispasmodic and muscle-relaxant properties as well as stimulating appetite.

It really does have medicinal benefits, though. I doubt you've ever had to deal with the kind of crippling nausea that goes along with things like chemo, but it can be pretty damn helpful with that, for one. I guess you've never actually met a legitimate medical marijuana user. A lot of people haven't, but I can assure you, it isn't all just stoners looking to get high, even if that demographic does compose a large portion or even the majority of the legalization crowd.

It isn't unhealthy to the point that you will eventually contract something serious and die from that though.

Kind of like how cigarettes and alcohol will. Both of which happen to be legal, by the way.

Compare the health risks of using cannabis in a way other than smoking it to the health risks of many other current medicines.

    Cannabis has far fewer risks.

    Everyone, consider this:

Cannabis is the only "drug" which stays in the body for a month. Every other drug, all of which are harder drugs, stay in the body for much less time. Such as black tar heroin.

And if OP was worried about using black tar heroin, everyone would be calling him an idiot because that's a real drug. Cannabis is not a real drug.

This isn't really true. I've smoked three days before a drug test, and I passed it just fine. I'm very skinny though, and THC is stored in fat cells. I also suspect I would have failed had I taken the test any sooner. For the record, I hadn't smoked for about a month or two prior, then smoked on the night in question, and then had the test a few days later.

Alcohol is so much worse than weed. If I knew any better, I'd have never taken a sip. I'm 23 years old, and I feel like I'm 60. My mind just doesn't work anymore, I'm strung out, I only think about drinking. My head is so fucked up from is, surprisingly so. Smoking pot helps me just relax for once. And all these years I thought I already was.

Yes, in the same way most drugs are good for people with health problems.

A drug which alters the body, can be used to swing a body back towards how it normally is, if it's gone the other way.

Give statistical evidence of weed causing health problems when used occasionally. I have yet to see a study that hasn't either only focused on constant smokers or failed to isolate weed as the only variable.

As it is you're making an ass of yourself. Most people have a little something called self-control. When you have it you're able to use something like marijuana to have an extra fun time without feeling the need to use it to have a good time anyway.

Yeah - it's funny, almost every anti-marijuana person I've talked to who tries to go the whole "it's bad for you"/"it's unhealthy" route falls back on "inhaling carcinogens = bad", completely ignoring that this has nothing to do with CANNABIS and everything to do with the delivery method. I'm fairly certain that if I smoked basil wrapped in paper nonstop for 50 years it'd show up in my lungs, too.

I disagree. While its far from addictive, I've seen people go from smoking once or twice a week, to mentioning every time you see them (every day) how high they got last night and how high they're gonna get over the weekend. Anecdotal evidence mind you, and I'm not against the drug itself. But I think it, being the hardest drug some people ever take, is something that can make people turn a once or twice thing into a daily thing.

Of course, its the same way with cigs and nicotine. Not everyone gets addicted to them.

What's funny is that one of the biggest arguments against weed is that it makes you stupider by killing brain cells.
This study was literally done by pumping 60 cuban joints into monkeys via gas mask to the point that they were suffocated, and as a result lots brain cells because the brain was cut off from oxygen.

I have self control, that's why I don't smoke weed.

The occasional smokers don't need weed to be legal, they can have a good time without it. The problem is keeping it legal so they can have a good time damages the people who lack self control and smoke away their lives and mental health.

If you're that selfish, then yes, legalising weed would be a good thing, for you.

My brother smokes 3-4 times a day and literally has withdrawal symptoms when he's out of weed. He just gets super high strung, sweating a lot, can't sleep, and can't stop thinking about weed.

I don't care what anyone says. It's addictive.

Cannabis has no ingredient that causes an addiction. Such as the nicotine in cigarettes.

Just because people like to get high and look forward to it, doesn't mean it's habit forming. It's like someone saying they're looking forward to getting drunk on the weekend in college. They're not addicted to alcohol, they just enjoy being drunk and washing away the stress of the school week.

That's all in his head though. A psychological addiction can come from something like tea or chocolate just as easily as it can come from marijuana. Actually chocolate and tea carry a tiny chance of physical addiction thanks to caffeine.

Please stop spewing your brainwashed thoughts.

It's illegal because Nixon wanted to put away all the hippies who were protesting the Vietnam war and he thought making cannabis illegal was an easy way to shut them up and make the public refute what they say in order to wage more war.

Nixon was a war monger and he didn't want anyone protesting him, so he started the "war on marijuana".

Why is a psychological addiction somehow not valid in comparison to physical addictions? especially when the symptoms are almost exactly the same.

It's because it makes weed sound better if it isn't technically physically addictive isn't it?

Because like I said, just about anything can create a psychological addiction if you let it. Are video games technically addictive? Yes, but it's all in your head because you lacked the self-control to keep in check.

    There is a difference.

It's almost depressing how much you blindly listen to politicians and lobbyists who have an agenda to keep it illegal because they're making a lot of money off of it being illegal.

Speaking as someone who has kicked a WoW "addiction" as well as an addiction to opiates, I'd have to agree wholeheartedly. Also, speaking as someone who has watched people destroy their lives with perfectly legal alcohol (as well as perfectly legal prescription drugs), this topic never fails to make me rage.

Well, I'm just trying to inform people of the lies they've been fed by people with power and agendas.

All they have to do is watch one documentary, and they'd most likely change their stance. But they're not willing to do that because they're afraid of being wrong or learning something new.

Cannabis is not "healthy" or "free of risk"
It is, however, very meak compared to the side effects of drinking and smoking regularly, which are commonplace and well accepted, if not expected of (drinking), in our society.

Eating fast food isn't healthy or free of risk.

Cannabis has plenty of health benefits, and if taken in a healthy way (vaporizer or cooking into food), it has nearly no problems. Sure, you shouldn't drive after taking cannabis, as you shouldn't with drinking and many other drugs which cause drowsiness.
