That said, the barbarian is clearly straight from D2. The wizard and demon hunter are analogues to the sorceror and rogue from D1, but with extra flavor. The monk is very similar to the monk in D1X. The witch doctor is basically a Kurast-themed version of the D2 necromancer.

Skills now work completely different, left/right mouse button and numerical keys are "sections" and you assign a skill on each section out of a selection, or you can choose instead to assign skills from other sections into a different section, you're basically limited by having a section only used for generators, one only used for spenders and so on.
While this system is limiting, it actually ends up forcing you to use and specialize each skill with the rune system, so no more 1-2 skill spam like D2, you actually have to use all of them now.

To be honest I've waited for D3 for years and I am disappointed. Pvp was my favorite thing about D2. I know majority of people play for everything else but I really really enjoyed pvp. I loved to be able to have lvl 9 duels outside of town. I loved hunting down my friends and pking them and likewise. I'll still get the game cause I love diablo but only arena? ;_;

If you had an annual pass and then attach a D3 CE code to it, you'll get 4 months WoW time added to your account but you won't need to run out and pick up your copy right away as you'll be able to start playing at midnight and attach the code later.
