I don't like her petticoat showing.

Is it bad for lolitas to be showing an inch or two of their petticoats when they're in lolita fashion?

A petticoat is an undergarment.

Just think about that.
>>
Yes, it's really bad...it's seen as improper.

Nobody will stone you for it, but in general you're just supposed to keep that hidden in photographs, etc.
>>
I generally dislike the look of petticoats being seen, but for some reason the coord/the girl looks really good wearing it?
It's weird to explain it, but the coord doesn't even feel like lolita... More like a magical girl or something. Obviously it is lolita, but it reminds me of something else. Maybe that's why the visible petticoat doesn't seem that horrid

She's OTT Sweet and maybe Fairy Kei. Still this is a lolita dress and she should properly conform to the rules.
>>
Even if it's technically improper, I personally think it really works for this coord for some odd reason.
I think her coord is a rare exception. Otherwise, it pretty much never looks good for the petticoat to be showing.
>>
It only works when the visible part of the petti blends really well with the dress, like it does here. Often pettis are stark white or flat black, lack a decorative edge and are made out of tulle or some other non-dress material so it's a bit jarring to see one poking out from under a skirt. You can tell it's not really supposed to be seen, like an undecorated functional corset. It's underwear and should be hidden away.

Personally I have a thing for pettis and bloomers peeking out as long as they have a nice lace border and it doesn't interrupt the flow of the outfit. It can be really cute in an oldschool way.
>>
I hate that tacky pony jewelry, but I think that it doesn't look all that strange, mostly because the petti has a softer, cleaner look than some others. It's probably the stitching on the bottom.

Damn, is DDC this short? Even with minimal poof it would hit her like 2-3 inches above the knee...

But as for petticoat, no, it shouldn't show, it's actually worse than long bloomers peeking out. But her whole coord reminds me of anime magic girls, which often have visible pettis, so I guess it kinda works?
