How come we don't have more anime/nerd standup comedians in the convention circuit? With all the guest spots and perks that Uncle Yo gets you'd think others would try to get a piece of the action.

Could you imagine though? Comedians recycle their routines, and many people attended a lot of cons. They'd be whinging and heckling because they heard that joke before.

I don't know if I'd be brave enough to be a regular stand up comedian, let alone one like that. I'm sure coming up with material would be the least of my concerns.

Isn't Expo doing a Last Comic Standing sort of competition? I've seen a couple of con improvs before. I think a con would be the most likely place I'd ever attempt standup comedy. I'm one of those sorts of people who can be funny at random and very quickly but I don't know if I'd have good delivery if I make up and memorize an act.

Which is more enough reason to have more than one guy traveling the circuit. How come the West Coast doesn't have a Uncle Yo?
